Jim Kerrs vocals are incredible on this - I lived in Edinburgh in the mid 80's and Simple Minds were at their creative peak - just timeless brilliance in an uplifting, spine-tingling sound-scape, I listen to this every day to remind myself of the magic of life.

My fav album ever, always took me on some sort of journey whether bombing about back roads in my old mini in the late 80s, finding yet another excuse to replay the album because I felt sad it had finished or now when I need a reset from the current grind - its always to hand as a fail safe background. These extended versions mean I can dip into the haunting bits for longer. The Herbie Hancock section from Hunter and the Hunted has always been my favourite part that doesn't go on nearly long enough, shame the path got a bit lost on later albums, early stuff being the best for many reasons. Many thanks and RIP to all the souls lost on that awful day and my thoughts to family and friends.

This is just an incredible piece of music. SM were at their absolute peak around this time when all five members created such magic. Listen to each member of the band and they are all incredible. Jim Kerr would just listen to the music and wait until the very last moment to add the vocals to the track when recording. He lifts the songs to another level but the instrumentation is just incredible.

This new remix is a trip for me,,, New Gold Dream was my favorite album growing up as a teenager throughout the 80s, and 9/11/01 was my 33rd birthday, I'm from New York, a high school friend died in the WTC that day, my uncle was a FDNY veteran... and experiencing this is beyond words.
