This amplifier goes with the P-301 Preamp. You connect the R1 cable which is a 1/8 inch to 1/8 inch male from the preamp to the amp along with your RCA cables. Then you select the multi-room button on the preamp, the relays will reset, and now you can press A and B and they can be used simultaneously. You have the wrong preamp. Hope that helps.
Never tried it, but if you have an amp with an out, you might want to try it, just make sure your speakers are not too overpowered or you can blow them. Thanks for watching!
The amp is designed to play either one pair of speakers on the A side or one pair of speakers on the B side but it doesn't let you play both A and B pairs simultaneously.
I guess with your power onkyo never gonna get to play at the same time both channels A,B A+B if you wanna get it you must change the power for a harman kardon hk 3490 you can play A,B or A+B
Thanks for the advice. I have mixed feelings about HK type of devices. Found a few on my trips to thrift stores but I don't see them functional. I've found that devices made by Technics, Onkyo, and Yamaha are often in great working condition, even when they were made in the early 80s. Thanks for watching!

Thank you for your good information.

You're better off with a tx-sr604 receiver with zone 2 it is awesome and inexpensive good choice with amp my friend.
Does the power amp work with any onkyo amplifier?

Hi good video great , please learn to conection to IR remote control in the back whit cable ,thank you

After several months of fiddling around with it, I finally came to that same conclusion. Thanks for watching!
