Yes but who stops others that match with AI to enter your game? NO AI switch to OFF yes but for AI altogether. No AI coplayers but also matched with others that choose so too.
Aha, friends. I prefer to play FPP, but if I can find a "friend" at all, I'm usually forced to play TPP. I don't have any "friends" with whom I can arrange to meet up. If I'm lucky, I get invited as a substitute player, at least that's how it seems to me. And how are you supposed to find friends on such an extremely toxic platform? Either the casual player doesn't talk, you're insulted in Arabic or Turkish or asked if you're a n***er friend and then the person shoots you. O.o If you have any good advice, please let me know.
well, if they were smart they wouldnt announce that shit. they'd just announce this bot. im sure one of the features put in would be something that detects cheats or flags a player as suspicious. kinda like those modern warefare dummies that were set up across the map. but they dont wanna tell ppl that.
Hot take before watching the video: I would like to play against the AI instead of the current bots as I think it would provide a better gaming experience. I'm tired of playing against bots that get into a firefight with another bot, and when you hone in on them and take a shot, run into cover, then right back to the same spot you found them in, and back to cover in a loop while occasionally taking shots at you. Post video take: I don't like the idea of an AI teammate. If you want to play with others, join duos or teams and go have fun. Who knows? You may find a group of people that you work well with and can run team matches with each other. Having an AI player will kill the social aspect of it, and with Krafton seemingly not wanting to fix the cheating issue and going all in on microtransactions, that's one of the only things it has going for it.
They know there's no way to keep players when the game is infested with cheaters so they are normalizing the replacement. Hate cheaters are probably lost anyway but the cheaters that want to have numbers and recognition are probably going to keep paying to appear in the cheating leader boards.

There's a whole untapped fanbase out there with players who have never played pubg they don't need to worry about retaining née players those who love the game will keep playing they should focus on gaining new players players that want drones and mines and stuff like this to be apart of the game they'd get way more players if they add new items that can help to combat cheaters like surveillance drones and suicide drones
Well... The game is designed to be played by 4 players. Communicating, creating shenanigans together, is what makes the game fun. But who can gather 4 friends very regularly when everyone has a job, a family, etc ? So far the only option when your friends are not available is either playing solo (turns into a horror game) or go for a matchmaking with random players. Most people play the random team mode like they're playing solo anyway, so I might as well play with 3 AI bots and get a better experience when my friends are not there. As long as it can be toggled off in the lobby I really don't see any problem.
If I was ever teamed with a bot, it would definitely get TK'd Knowing Krafton, this will either be a huge disaster or totally unused by the player base. Or both.

This latest update will only increase our desire to find a replacement for PUBG. They really are dumber than dirt at Krafton.
I'm not surprised, I knew one day this would happen, i see rondo guard got buff i remember they're so stupid, miss a shoot, stand in the middle open space etc before we dont even need to hide, just walk behind the wall and youre safe but now, they shoot me when i drop on roof, like searching me, and they guard me, like waitting my teamates to revive me, WHILE hidding and peek behind a wall when i PING his location, he change his position,..!
Surely it will be a separate mode that you can just ignore & continue playing traditional solos if it's not for you? I'd imagine most people who play solo will opt for this; maybe give the AI mode a try out of curiosity but at the end of the day, people play solos for a reason. Makes you wonder who exactly this new mode is for?
thats not why they did this. They have been pushing the teamfinder tools to make teamgames more accessible to people without pubg friends ( or when they are offline). But its probably not used enough because people don't like to talk to complete strangers most of the time. This would help. It could also help in areas with few players to get matches going.
Was looking at the 50 series gpu(s) last night when I saw something about this. Crazy how krafton is able to constantly come up with new ideas for this game but they seem to put so little effort into fixing the cheating problem. Maybe the cheating problem is impossible to fix so they are just trying to do what they can.
Im for this ONLY if your A.I team mate can spot and ban potential cheaters due to auto lock or detecting ESP behavior. Im sure the crosshair vectors can be detected if they can "spot enemies" and for that matter how GOOD will they be able to perceive enemies at a distance
It may actually go unnoticed though, as I've noticed that many teammates don't consciously notice (if at all) when they are fighting BOTs, even call them "noobs"... It's depressing. Months ago, before I stopped playing, I had already noticed teams of BOTs in my matches (PC EU), but I never expected it to be said in the open
The game is moving forward. It has to or it will eventually die. I see no reason for this to not happen and personally would welcome it as an option instead of being put in random squads of 7 years olds, getting wiped by team members who decide to kill you mid game or those that play as a solo in a squad game. Improve AI on the current bots as well and make them harder to kill
Why don't they just create a Pubg2, which is well over due, put it on Unreal Engine 5 and add a few maps. Release it and itll naturally build the players base. The main reason people dont play on console is because the launch was horrendous
Why are people hating it this much? I find the idea SUPER-interesting. Not for Battle Royale Setting but actually for Missions, where you are the Squad Leader. People only see how it might influence BR but maybe they have something else planned. I agree, that for BR it might backfire.

I find it concerning that overall, we humans have started to be increasingly retrospective and want everything to stay the same and not stand out of line. Because on console this game is infested with chronus/xim/strikepack. AI anticheat is probably the best answer to solve this problem. However, PUBG knows cheaters spend a lot on cosmetics and they also know a good portion of streamers/partners are dirty. If cheating was resolved and they wanted to add this OK.

He returned next day, I reported him again and he got banned again for 1-3 days. HAHAH. Why the PUBG devs do not have Multiplayer Missions for 1-4 Squads for every map to add a bit to the lore and depth of the game, is beyond me. It is all there already. They just need to provide some context and make good infil missions. 64 km^2 map (bigger than Skyrim, which is 37km^2), really good central spots on different maps: Mylta, Mil Base, School (Erangel) etc. Add cheater AI, which insta-headshots and you somehow need to kill it from AFAR, by first scanning the Military Base for NPCs.
I don't care about that, I care about the insane stuttering I'm experiencing since the Sanhok update. Not only on the Sanhok map but every map. The game became unplayable after having almost 1k hours in. Still no solution after reverting nvidia drivers, reinstalling.
Had a similar issue. I opened task manager while in game, details tab, right click on PUBG, and put “set priority” to low. My cpu was at 100% and I was getting stutters and after these changes it was around 85% usage and ran a lot smoother. Worth a try

I never checked that before the stuttering came on, but still can't be good. I wonder what the anticheat is doing to our systems in the background. For the moment I can't play the game anymore, the stuttering is so bad the shooting and movement is affected too much.
Well, as a strictly solo player, I don't care much - it wouldn't make me start playing on a 'team' if it just meant I got a bot buddy but would be fighting against likely real (and probably more effective) teams of people. So I will stick with solo which is, for me, what it is all about.
ok hear me out - we have a team of 4, but sometimes we're not all there - usually ending with 3 and 1 random player. As duos we also play with 2 randoms as the duos are the sweatiest and we play for fun. But with the main situation that we're left as a 3 - having an AI player like that instead of a random that lands by his own, even tough we clearly all 3 ping where we're gonna land - this would be a great addition. And only in terms of that he fucking listens to us - which would be a huge deal as the randoms are so freaking unpredictable. In this case scenario I would see it as a great thing!

A competitive game must be founded on fairness and equal opportunities to win. If the outcome of a competitive game is the result of a decision made but other than a human player, then is no longer a fair game anymore.
Nothing surprising since arena breakout or delta force posted some thing literally almost identical to this a few months ago or less. It sucks but it s what it is.

Using AI for cheat detection would be awesome as long as they ban their dirty streamers/partners also (not that I ever trusted them to do this). My trust factor with this company is 0 on a 1-10 scale. What an absolute miss this is and waste of resources. This could have easily been used to clean up this game. Imagine how many more players would come back to a clean PUBG with AI anticheat and no one is whitelisted. Krafton - The ridiculous and obvious cheating (yes, you know you have a lot of dirty streamers/partners too) is lowering the player base, not someone's ability to find a friend. Not sure I have ever seen such clueless devs or front office if this is their call (which it may be).
If Ally is a separate game mode in PUBG then it's no problem and would be fun. If they start mixing it into normal game modes of human v human its going to detract from the game. imo.
I think this is amazing - and pioneering these technologies is essential for them to mature into those AI generated games we've all been dreaming about the past few years. Sure it'll probably be janky but you know it's KDR will be better than most of the peanuts you find yourself dropping with, mic muted etc

The END HAS COME! I left PUBG cause I knew this was coming. I was so pumped for BO6. Little did I know BO6 was way ahead of PUBG. Wait till you get into a squad and they say if a person quits we will “find a new player” yea an AI player.
While I'm not a PUBG player, I'm a COD veteran (lol), been playing since 2003. In the recent years I had to ditch call of duty for the most part because of manipulative matchmaking and cheaters. Since the manipulative matchmaking tends to put me most of the time in cheater lobbies (can't wait to see my SBMM numbers via the activision data I requested on January 2nd), i'm at a point where I start thinking about playing against bots, but the problem with bots is either they are very, very bad and nowhere near my skill levels, or are straight up aimbots lol. If at some point I end up being able to play against human-like bots that are actually good without aimbotting or so, well, it could do it for me. Otherwise I'll just end up completely leaving the FPS scene and play only sim racing games. There is no reason to keep playing games infested with cheaters, and even more games that puts you against cheaters only...
AI can be a great contribution not just to PubG , but to any game and in a lot of layers of the game . In this example where its used as co-player, I think that as long as they train the AI to fit a human level - meaning it will also do human mistake like moves , it can improve the gameplay. I would most certainly feel more satisfaction in putting down such an AI vs. a Bot that has zero to minimal combat performance. This is actually interesting, I wonder if its already happening for a long time now and just now announced, to see player game base reaction. How many of you tagged up with team mates in pubg that didn't communicate at all, yet played logically...
AI could be a wonderful addition - for anitcheat. Get AnyBrain on this game and make sure no one is whitelisted (including streamers/partners) and see how fast this game is cleaned up. 2 week ban for 1st offense, hardware ban for 2nd. This game would be back and once word spread more players would return.

AI Teammates had a positive response for Arena Breakout. Not sure about PUBG. For ABI you can use them as meat shields but for pubg i guess you can use them for when someone knocks on your door and have them protect you for a second idk 😂
This would explain why they've made such hard pushes to get people to join duos and squad matches instead of solos. Kind of hard to convince people there's a reason for an AI teammate if you prefer to do solos.😂 As to what I think of it personally? I don't run duos or squads and I'll still run solos regardless of what THEY think I want. I know very well that their bots are not the most optimal thing if you're trying to get an exciting match. Meaning if they're trying to force people to do teams with these AI, they want people to TRAIN these AI so that they can be used to replace the bots. Unlike a bot that you program by telling it, "if this happens, do this" or "if that happens, do this, if that fails, then do this". AI requires hands on learning after given a base set of protocols to fall back on, in order to further improve its intelligence.
This tech could easily remove cheating/scripting from PUBG once and for all, but no, lets introduce fake players in to a multiplayer BR game. Save the AI for squad based PvE games, not multiplayer BR games.

🥲🥲🥲🥲🙂I could NOT ENTER Maps like Sanhok,vikendi,karakin ,Miramar in SOLO CLASSIC MATCHES at all since game installation in BGMI which is game frm Krafton and PUBG replica. The reason they give is NO MATCHMAKING. Then the solution is simple add AI based bots to fill the void players and keep low points for win. But atleast the players can play on desired maps. The only map i could enter was erangel, nusa & sometimes livik which i dont like to play. And i cannot play the desired maps due to No matchmaking in SOLO MODE .Though i reported the issue over 1000 times it fell on deaf ears. No update resolves the issues.

I think the number of bots has decreased quite a bit on our EU server.

Most pvp players don't want bots of any kind in their matches.
Pve missions are a different ball game.

He returned next day, I reported him again and he got banned again for 1-3 days. HAHAH. THE SAME FUCKING PERSON. xD But I have this AI stuff in mind, where you do PUBG Missions speedruns with generative AI players. This is a completely new Speedrunning genre. I'd even pay for that. It would tell people a lot about how predictable generative AI is for identical/different voice inputs.
List of 5 things that will increase pubg popularity and bring new players:
1 drones both surveillance and kamikaze
2 Ev bag and ad that can be mounted on vehicles
3 Mines to plant and folded zinc you can attach to cars for more protection
4 Missile silos that are defended by advanced AI if you defeat them you get missiles that could take out a whole compound
5 More game detailing make blood trail a thing if you get shot it takes 5 minutes for you to stop bleeding so enemies can pick up your blood trail and track you also bullet to body and head should carry specific consequences if you're knocked by foot shot it should take time after rez before you start running nornal again head knock should take longer to rez and leave the player fuzzy for a few minutes after rez so can't use scope

Why the PUBG devs do not have Multiplayer Missions for 1-4 Squads for every map to add a bit to the lore and depth of the game, is beyond me. It is all there already. They just need to provide some context and make good infil missions. 64 km^2 map (bigger than Skyrim, which is 37km^2), really good central spots on different maps: Mylta, Mil Base, School (Erangel) etc. Add cheater AI, which insta-headshots and you somehow need to kill it from AFAR, by first scanning the Military Base for NPCs.

I don't care about that, I care about the insane stuttering I'm experiencing since the Sanhok update. Not only on the Sanhok map but every map. The game became unplayable after having almost 1k hours in. Still no solution after reverting nvidia drivers, reinstalling.
Had a similar issue. I opened task manager while in game, details tab, right click on PUBG, and put “set priority” to low. My cpu was at 100% and I was getting stutters and after these changes it was around 85% usage and ran a lot smoother. Worth a try

I indeed noticed the same thing too, 95 -100% CPU usage during gaming. I never checked that before the stuttering came on, but still can't be good.
I wonder what the anticheat is doing to our systems in the background.
For the moment I can't play the game anymore, the stuttering is so bad the shooting and movement is affected too much.

Well, as a strictly solo player, I don't care much - it wouldn't make me start playing on a 'team' if it just meant I got a bot buddy but would be fighting against likely real (and probably more effective) teams of people. So I will stick with solo which is, for me, what it is all about.
ok hear me out - we have a team of 4, but sometimes we're not all there - usually ending with 3 and 1 random player. As duos we also play with 2 randoms as the duos are the sweatiest and we play for fun. But with the main situation that we're left as a 3 - having an AI player like that instead of a random that lands by his own, even tough we clearly all 3 ping where we're gonna land - this would be a great addition. And only in terms of that he fucking listens to us - which would be a huge deal as the randoms are so freaking unpredictable. In this case scenario I would see it as a great thing!
Any asset of a competitive game that is not controlled by a human player, any decision that is not made by a human player, or any action in a competitive game that is not taken by a human player is an act of unfairness towards the opponents. A competitive game must be founded on fairness and equal opportunities to win. If the outcome of a competitive game is the result of a decision made but other than a human player, then is no longer a fair game anymore.

I prefer AI teammates as they re not going to ignore you as a teammate but support you instead of just going for max kills
Using AI for cheat detection would be awesome as long as they ban their dirty streamers/partners also (not that I ever trusted them to do this). My trust factor with this company is 0 on a 1-10 scale. What an absolute miss this is and waste of resources. This could have easily been used to clean up this game. Imagine how many more players would come back to a clean PUBG with AI anticheat and no one is whitelisted.
Krafton - The ridiculous and obvious cheating (yes, you know you have a lot of dirty streamers/partners too) is lowering the player base, not someone's ability to find a friend. Not sure I have ever seen such clueless devs or front office if this is their call (which it may be).

If Ally is a separate game mode in PUBG then it's no problem and would be fun. If they start mixing it into normal game modes of human v human its going to detract from the game. imo.

I think this is amazing - and pioneering these technologies is essential for them to mature into those AI generated games we've all been dreaming about the past few years. Sure it'll probably be janky but you know it's KDR will be better than most of the peanuts you find yourself dropping with, mic muted etc

The END HAS COME! I left PUBG cause I knew this was coming. I was so pumped for BO6. Little did I know BO6 was way ahead of PUBG. Wait till you get into a squad and they say if a person quits we will “find a new player” yea an AI player.

While I'm not a PUBG player, I'm a COD veteran (lol), been playing since 2003. In the recent years I had to ditch call of duty for the most part because of manipulative matchmaking and cheaters. Since the manipulative matchmaking tends to put me most of the time in cheater lobbies (can't wait to see my SBMM numbers via the activision data I requested on January 2nd), i'm at a point where I start thinking about playing against bots, but the problem with bots is either they are very, very bad and nowhere near my skill levels, or are straight up aimbots lol. If at some point I end up being able to play against human-like bots that are actually good without aimbotting or so, well, it could do it for me. Otherwise I'll just end up completely leaving the FPS scene and play only sim racing games. There is no reason to keep playing games infested with cheaters, and even more games that puts you against cheaters only...

AI can be a great contribution not just to PubG , but to any game and in a lot of layers of the game . In this example where its used as co-player, I think that as long as they train the AI to fit a human level - meaning it will also do human mistake like moves , it can improve the gameplay. I would most certainly feel more satisfaction in putting down such an AI vs. a Bot that has zero to minimal combat performance.
This is actually interesting, I wonder if its already happening for a long time now and just now announced, to see player game base reaction.

AI could be a wonderful addition - for anitcheat. Get AnyBrain on this game and make sure no one is whitelisted (including streamers/partners) and see how fast this game is cleaned up. 2 week ban for 1st offense, hardware ban for 2nd. This game would be back and once word spread more players would return.

AI Teammates had a positive response for Arena Breakout. Not sure about PUBG. For ABI you can use them as meat shields but for pubg i guess you can use them for when someone knocks on your door and have them protect you for a second idk 😂

This would explain why they've made such hard pushes to get people to join duos and squad matches instead of solos. Kind of hard to convince people there's a reason for an AI teammate if you prefer to do solos.😂
As to what I think of it personally? I don't run duos or squads and I'll still run solos regardless of what THEY think I want. I know very well that their bots are not the most optimal thing if you're trying to get an exciting match. Meaning if they're trying to force people to do teams with these AI, they want people to TRAIN these AI so that they can be used to replace the bots.
Unlike a bot that you program by telling it, "if this happens, do this" or "if that happens, do this, if that fails, then do this". AI requires hands on learning after given a base set of protocols to fall back on, in order to further improve its intelligence.
Why don't use AI to improve anti-cheat ?

This tech could easily remove cheating/scripting from PUBG once and for all, but no, lets introduce fake players in to a multiplayer BR game. Save the AI for squad based PvE games, not multiplayer BR games.

🥲🥲🥲🥲🙂I could NOT ENTER Maps like Sanhok,vikendi,karakin ,Miramar in SOLO CLASSIC MATCHES at all since game installation in BGMI which is game frm Krafton and PUBG replica. The reason they give is NO MATCHMAKING. Then the solution is simple add AI based bots to fill the void players and keep low points for win. But atleast the players can play on desired maps. The only map i could enter was erangel, nusa & sometimes livik which i dont like to play. And i cannot play the desired maps due to No matchmaking in SOLO MODE .Though i reported the issue over 1000 times it fell on deaf ears. No update resolves the issues.
