She really scoots On a 3s, quite impressive! And wow at the smoke in the sky’s, can’t wait till it clears, makes our planes all look black or dark grey in color, ominous! 👍
It really does rip! Your partner in RC Crime will give you a good demo soon I am sure with his new P.15. Isn't that smoke insane? It was like that for quite a while, but we finally got a little rain this morning. I hope that helps shift things from brown and dry to green and fly.
Great video! I also love my P.15 and fly it on 1800's 35C for easy 5 minutes of fun ;) I still find it fairly easy to launch with the 1800's with a start mode (elevator and high rates) and it's just insane fun to jet around. One thing were I had to adjust was the colors... I crashed it once because I couldn't see if it's upside down when the background was grey and green. So I painted the wings orange on top and added yellow wing tips on the underside.
Thank you for watching and commenting! I love this little rocket and good call on the start mode. Mine works great to get into the air, but I need to take it off right away or I get into trouble lol I believe you on the flight time with your 1800's. If I had been easier on the throttle, I would have been near 6 minutes easy. There were some hard flying clips that got fuzzed out due to the smoke and such that weren't included in the footage. The faster you fly, the less of it you get to use in the videos is what I have learned over time. I can see mine pretty well, but that is definitely a great idea to help with orientation. I have seen a few guys do that and like the thinking.
@@dunkoholic It depends on your radio but one way is setting up/using "phases" - in these different modes you can for example increase/decrease any channel default. For the P15 you can for example give it +1.5mm elevator input when activating Launch mode (Phase). You should be able to find good descriptions by searching your radio type with "flight modes" or "phases"
Nice flight demo brother! :) Wouldn't you prefer say a 2200mah 35C (or so) lipo? Would probably weight +/- the same? Cheers & have a good weekend over there :)
Thanks brother! It is seriously a lot of fun to fly and so quick for something so small, much like my Dart only faster and is an EDF Warbird lol As far as the battery goes, its weight is about 15-20 grams less than my 30C 2200's, yet this is still 75C for lots of power. As much as I enjoyed flying it with my 1500's, the throttle response, weight distribution, and flight time with lots of speed, has me very happy I tried this battery in this plane. I got it for one of my quads, which it works well with, but it works great in this too! We finally just got some rain, so I may or may not fly his weekend, but that is ok. Clean air and green grass are good things.
I have to apologize for asking this question, but did that 23 percent mean 23 percent left, or 23 percent used. I'm getting this airplane next and I need to decide what size batteries to get. What would be a good time to set on my timer with that 1800. THANKS.
23% left after the flight was complete. Always set it to 3 minutes and adjust from there based on your flying style. You do not want to have an issue with running out your battery on the first flight like I did with my F-105 (watch that video lol)
Hi there! The only thing I modded on the physical jet is adding some cloth grip tape to the bottom of it. On the radio, I added a launch switch, to help it get into the air easier. This is what it looks like using both: ua-cam.com/video/kES8qxbzp_w/v-deo.html Here is a link to the grip tape I used where you hold it for easier throwing: amzn.to/3YVazGh
@@GBLyndeni always have a little up trim does this model need alot?,I have an arrows viper that's twice nose dived into the ground on launch, used 2200 lipos placed quite far back, ordered smaller lipos hopefully have better luck with them, thats one was thing I liked with safe enabled planes worry free hand launches
It is very responsive. The launch switch makes it easy to get into the air flying, but when you leave it on, it is a seriously difficult thing to fly. Once I took it off, it flew pretty darn smooth! This is the first flight where I have ever felt comfortable enough to give it full throttle. Most of that has to do with the weight/balance with this battery and part of why I put it in the thumbnail.
Nope, it is just very responsive, even with the Dual-Rates set at around 50% and 30% expo. It will do rolls like a drill bit lol. I did three in a row but the camera fuzzed out just as I started them, so I had to edit it out. The conditions were horrible to make videos, but John did an amazing job on all three videos. Planes this size make it even harder, so give John a shout out if you have a minute.

Nice flight! I've been tempted by this one. Looks great and something a little different is always good!
Thanks brother! I highly recommend this plane with my setup.
U alway manage to put a smile on my face
I am glad you're smiling! 😀
Great flight and video. That's a good time with that small a battery. Looks like fun! Show the cell voltage. Ricky
Thank you! It really does, especially considering how hard I was flying it. The cell voltage was about 3.75.

I have this plane and on a 130 or 1800 3s its mental fast, just remember to not have 100% throws, crazy!
Oh yeah! I have flown it a lit since I made this video and it is one of my favorite planes 👊🏻💥👊🏻
Thumbs up cause my banter makes me laugh. Haha!

What’s launch mode exactly please?
Basically you have a setting on a switch where the elevator has some up to help with hand launches 😎

This and the Viper probably do best on a 3S 1500ish sized pack. You want the up only to get it flying and then have it trimmed for level flight
