This Lippisch P.15 flying wing was supposed to be the upgraded version of the Messerschmitt Me-163 rocket plane. The ME-163 'Komet" was the first airplane crossing the 1000 KM/h border (621 MPH). The Lippisch P.15 was supposed to have a turbine instead of a rocket engine. It was never built. This model from MotionRC.com bring this prototype to life. I love it, as it is fast and can also fly slow. So here are 3 short flights, The Maiden, launched from my catapult, A hand Launch, and a Jet Assisted Take off from my Catapult to simulate the ME-163.
estes had a rocket only powered only rc plane in the early 90's, begged and begged mom and dad so id be intrested in seeing a rocket only flight of this plane although this was another outta the park vid, thank you mr herbert
The P.15 is one jet that can hall the mail. This one really test your ability to stay ahead of it. You haven't lost it yet Dave. I have to give Ilea credit to just keep it within camera view.
It just fine here and the same volume as my other 1300 vids. Check the volume lever on the video, and or your own volume in the task bar. If your on the phone, turn it up. Thats all I know.
I have that P.15 and was shocked by its speed for a 64mm! First launch I gave it to a buddy to throw and he fumbled the throw, so its not as pretty as yours (just cosmetic). I've got the battery tray marked out with the position for a 1300mah or an 1800mah cg wise
Well this is fast enough for this 75 year old guy, and I hate blowing up blades, so will keep the 3 s. But more rocket flights on the way, so please stay tuned. Thanks so kindly.
Very Cool! Not flying bombs like the vergelwaffens, the idea was to ram the control surfaces of enemy (ours) bombers in practical suicide attacks. Good way to run out of pilots.

133 mph, wow!! That thing really moves! Plus it looked so smooth and agile in flight. I liked it too, nice flying as always. Semper Fi sir.
This is a good one for sure. Thanks much and Semper Fi, Scott.
Cool and fast little airplane, you can take it with you everywhere. Fun times!
For sure. Thanks so much.
That thing really moves!
Looks like it flies beautifully.
It sure do3es. This is a nice plane for sure. Thanks much.

Well, stay tuned, as I will try to make an onboard igniter and try again. Thanks so much and for being one of my longest subscribers.
Yeah, Ilea is an excellent camera crew and nice to look at too!! Wish I could see more of her!!! Nice video Dave!
Man that plane really scoots! Great camera work!!
It does for sure. Thanks so much.
Great review thanks… You have brilliant control of that lil weapon 💪🏻
Thanks so kindly!
Yep, it flies like a Bat out of Hell, and I really liked the catapult. Oorah, and that would be great on the Midway..!
For sure. My Tour on the USS Midway inspired me to make these catapults. Great Fun and easy to launch. Thanks Bud and Semper Fi.
Your vids are always awesome! Wow that thing is fast!
Thanks so kindly, Tim. I appreciate you.
You said it... "Ha-ha Haaaaa." That's a nice flying airplane. 🙂
Right on. Ha ha. Thanks so kindly.

It scoots for sure! Ilea does a great job, and I love her for it. Thanks much, Tom.
It would be really interesting to see what kind of speed you could get out of it flying strait and level and turning on that rocket.
I'm gonna try that, so please stay tuned. Thanks.
Man that thing motates!
It is a mover for sure. Thanks much, James.
At 6:00.... the third "ah ha ha!" ...
Coolest vid I've seen on this plane. Nice fly'n too.
Thanks so kindly Bret. Here is the newest one, I added an onboard igniter. You may like that too. ua-cam.com/video/8RGNZWxekFY/v-deo.html

Howdy Mr Herbert. The audio level is too low for us to hear the video well. Thanks!

@@NightFlyyer It's really low until 3:30 on both my computers. Even with the volume maxed, I can not understand on my laptop. Strange.
@@ancjr Sorry. I just watched it and it is fine. Try another device and see. Thanks.
I use a 3S 1800 in mine. 120 mph in level flight, as slow as 25 into the wind.
Aloha Dave, that plane looks like a lot of fun even without the rocket motor! How much time do you get with that 1300 mah battery?
Aloha JB. It is. I get about 4 minutes wide open but a couple of minutes longer if I don't hot rod around, which is hard not to do. LOL. Thanks.

Right on. I just ordered another, so I have a spare. That is how much I like it. LOL.
The true power and insanity of the p.15 come out when you throw in a 4s 1300mah pack. Get ready for some shredded fan blades, though!😂😂😂

Wasn't that plane in the pc game Chuck Yeager's air combat ? haven't played it in a few decades LOL . Wish I could now .
Don't know, but if it was it would be the ME 163, because the full size Lippisch 15 was never built. It was supposed to be, but never was.
@@NightFlyyer Can you play old DOS games on a newer Pc ?
