This man is very lucky to find a woman who shows him early enough that she is a disrespectful, selfish and materialistic person. Now that you know, sir, there’s one thing left to do: collect the ring and RUN!!!
The ring is a family heirloom and should be returned to him if they don't get married. She's scarily obsessed with it & appears to only want him to solidify keeping it!
If she can make that kind of money in two days, then she need to hop on the pole and get to work! She don’t want him - she’s just being spiteful. And give that man back his grandma’s ring!
Well we already know the rule. That engagement ring is a promise to wed. Since they won't be wed, by law, she has to give it back. So we can move off that subject. She's a vindictive, entitled spaz, that needs to move on, back to the stage. She's not even all that, is she still wearing braces? She's built like a 16yo boy.
When Judge Star said " I am not supporting you, I am supporting the truth" I laughed so loud. This lady is top of the line crazy. Actually, both of them have issues. They need to grow up. I hate that he gave her ring that belonged to his grandmother because she is clearly interested in the value of the ring more than being married to him. I would pretend everything was good and leave in the middle of the night. lol. What a beech of a woman. Good luck dude. Judge Star, I love you!
We can nip this in the bud now. As every court show says, an engagement ring is a conditional gift based on a promise. If you don't get married, it's not your ring. You have to return it.
Run young man, she doesn’t want you-wants the ring, but not you! Called him a nasty name, Judge Star called her on it she said “ I don’t care” it’s so obvious she has no respect for him. Grandmother’s ring will go back to him.
Now she says she’s not giving the ring back because of the clothes- I’m tired of her and this ring! She’s been twisting it on her finger the whole episode🙄
She looks at him with disgust.when he said he gave her his grandmother's ring, she had a look of contempt. That alone would make me have second thoughts. She sounds so selfish. And appears to be so childish. He needs to move on and she needs togive his grandmother's ring back to him. SHE IS DISGUSTING!! SHE DOESN'T LOVE HIM AND LORD HELP ANYONE WHO MARRIES HER. SHE IS MATERIALISTIC. AND WILL SELL THAT RING,JUST TO HURT HIM.
Yeah Matt, she’s got to go!!! She cares more about your grandmothers engagement ring seemingly than anything else. Time to restart your search. You will find love.❤️
Neither of them are angels, but that ring belongs to him. Not only is it HIS family heirloom, but engagement rings are conditional gifts based on a promise to marry. If that promise is not fulfilled, then it must be returned.
They not married yet n she's out of her mind if she's keeping ring. Embarrassed him in front of his friends. Hope judge tells her to give back the ring .
She’s overbearing, controlling, self-centered, greedy, and childish! He keeps giving her the benefit of the doubt then does something petty, when her behavior rightfully upsets him instead of being direct with her. He needs to face reality, she’s toxic… and leave. He also needs to heal before entering another relationship.
Call early if you know you’re going to be late for dinner guys. When a woman slaves over the stove to prepare dinner, the least a man can do is call if they’re going to be late or not make it because of work. Respect is the key.
2 mins in and he's stated clearly that he doesn't want her. Gurrrrrrllllll, why are you letting him repeat this? There's nothing to save. Give him back his ring and go your way. Why embarass yourself on national TV for nothing? 🤷🏾♀️
You KNOW...If she was like us, he would have that ring back ALREADY! No court, no Judge Star, just straight up returned to his Grandmama. His sistas would have gotten it back lickety split. And she would have been HAPPY to give ot back! No problem....LMAO
I know someone who proposed to a woman with a family heirloom and when she cheated on him he broke off the engagement. He tried many times the nice way to get the ring back and she absolutely refused. He warned her that if she didn't give it back the last time he asked she would pay a price that will scar her for life. She took it as a joke and he located her and poured battery acid in her face and took the ring back. He gave it to his brother and then turned himself in to the police. He is now serving time while she's disfigured for life. Let this story be a cautionary tale to evil women that every man has his breaking point and this is not a game.
She is use to getting her way and is very childish. He wants out of the engagement and doesn't ĺove her. He wants his ring back and she needs to give it back.
Was her entrepreneurial spirit sliding down a pole? He said that is what attracted him. He picked her off of his 2nd brain and thought he could handle the red flags... He acts out instead of talking and she clearly has a “sugar daddy” mentality. As soon as she said the cost of the ring, the question was - Why does she know that amount? The sentiment priceless but he clearly is attracted to shiny objects that rust easily -she is giving fake and self centered.
He came on here acting like he was a saint and they be treating each other like a rematch gone wrong! They keep doing the tic for tac and it's emotionally abusive behaviors from both parties in this relationship. Judge Star keeps LOOKING AT THIS COUPLE "WHAT IN THE HECK DID THE WIND BLOW IN..." and I am looking the same.
For sure. He is about as wrong as her lol. He expects a lot out of girlfriend stage and she is obsessed with the idea of marriage because of the ring. Both are terrible in relationships. She just comes across as less desirable because she doesn’t think before she speaks lol.
Judge stay focused on the little things. Shes worried about him not showing up for dinner and not the demeaning and derogatory word she chose to call him that on tv.
He sees too much in others. He sees things that aren't there in reality. He tries too hard to align with the internal struggles of others. He's got a solid heart and a kind and forgiving disposition. Unfortunately, in this world, it's people like him that are used and abused for their forgivness and generosity by narcissistic people like her. He's called a "supply" in psychology terms. He had better wisen up in the future.
If women had to go buy engagement / wedding rings with their own money, I guarantee the BS about how much it costs or if she's entitled to get it back during a break up will stop... 💯 She is horrible but I don't think he is so innocent either...
You sure about that? Coz women be shopping now. Those designer handbags and shoes aren't exactly cheap. Hair and nails get did on the routine. Do you even know how much skincare products are? Men purchase objects. Women pay to objectify themselves. Overall, people be shopping.

Specially if it’s because the soon to be bride is a cheater.
I'm not sure that would actually be that cut and dry in an actual court of law.

Are these shows scripted, I could have sworn I just watched a episode similar to this one 🤦🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️
Semi-scripted, which is the common format for "reality" TV.
The litigants aren't professional actors, and their challenges are predominately true in life, but the production does take liberties in terms of sensationalizing certain aspects of their issues that enhances the story up to a level 10.
From setting the agenda of what gets talked about during which part of the formatting, to selective editing to paint a specific narrative (I'm an editor) in a way that peaks viewership.
The reality is most people's relationship challenges are mundane and common. On their own they're not normally all that interesting nor entertaining. The show helps juice that up a bit.
If you watch the show long enough you'll see many instances where Star latches on to a tidbit of anything salacious and scandalous that a litigant might say. It's these small interactions that viewers love either consciously or subconsciously.
Shows like Before the 90 Days are also semi-scripted, but to a higher degree. Those productions do takes. In film speak that basically means they're redoing scenes that maybe weren't landing the desired scandal initially. If you watch carefully sometimes you'll see a cast member silently mouthing the lines of their fellow cast members. That's what we call an unconscious line read, which is indicative of non-actors who are doing multiple takes of one scene.
You should also note none of these non-actors are compensated too generously. It's actually shocking how little they get paid.
At the end of the day, all these shows are entertainment at the expense of people who don't understand that they're identity becomes the actual product and is at the mercy of however a given show decides to depict them. There WILL be a protagonist and an antagonist. You don't have any conflict/resolve without this dichotomy. These are people's lives that are being affected and forever frozen in time.
It's going to be a long, arduous road for the young lady in this episode to live down how this show decided to portray her. I'm not saying she's a model person in society, but I am saying she's likely not as bad as the show depicts in her actual daily life. I guess the lesson here is to carefully read anything that requires a signature.
