I sort of agree that it’s so much easier with mods but where’s the satisfaction when you can just magic things into the game. I remember feeling proud of the things I built because of the work that went into them.
@@stanettiels7367 I am fine with that and for new players it is good to put in the time. But for me, I have been shut down on my builds due to the issues green Hell has when it comes to building what you want. It doesnt make sense sometimes when it refuses to allow me to put second floor frames in for no apparent reason. Steam says I have 830 hours in this game now, I think I have done my apprenticeship, its time to mod

@@keithmartell3971 Hey man if you want some info on where to get the MODs let me know. I can help you set it up. I have no plans on using them for our multiplayer but it CAN help you build when there's a problem with laying blueprints!
If you go into your bag, you can basically carry as much as you want if you craft everything you stumble across. Like 3 long sticks and 5 sticks and 2 small sticks...all at once! !! 🤟

Hey man I’m loving your content. I’m new on Xbox and this does help a lot. All I wanted to ask was if you could do shorter guide videos? On specific topics like forging. These videos are great but at times I just need a quick tutorial. Not many green hell UA-camrs out there so I thought I’d leave some feed back. Keep up the great work!
Thanks for the feedback! It's tough for me to do shorter videos, I really do wish I could do more. Honestly, if you want quick pointers here and there I'd recommend joining our Discord. Lots of awesome people willing to help there! There's a link to it down in the description of this video.
Nice build. I’m going to build something in the water and hopefully extend it up to where you are building now. Haven’t tried it yet but I’m going to. I haven’t got mods, though, (PS4) so it’s gonna take me ages. Nice video, nice and relaxing, no shouting to make what you’re saying seem more interesting like a lot of UA-camrs seem to do. So have a sub 👍🏻.

@@keithmartell3971 It’s about impossible to do on PS5 without the mods. He talking about another UA-camr who build his in the water, but he was using mods. I tried several times and you will never build it right. Waste a lot of time and resources.

@@UnkemptGamer Looking at your finished work, I know how much effort you put into it. For me, building with mud is quite challenging. I give up too easily. Last time, I gave up because I couldn't find coconuts to gather and store water... This game is very demanding.
Yup, the Animal Husbandry update looks great. Taking care of beautiful capybaras and dangerous bees must be awesome.
@@lukevvo5386 yes in the early game coconuts and rocks can be hard to come by for sure.
@@UnkemptGamer Somewhere on the internet I found a tip that you can throw stones at the coconut canopy, which I tried but to no avail, no coconut fell down, which was quite obvious because I didn't notice any coconuts growing on many palms... Without coconut shells and bidons collecting fresh water and staying hydrated is almost impossible. Once, I even encountered a native making loud calls and noises, which at first really scared me, it literally gave me the creeps... It was a bowman, he was trying to kill me with his weapon and I had to get rid of him first, with a spear... But frankly, most often jaguars get rid of me in the first place - even if I win the fight, the wounds are too deep to survive 😅

Thats my spot as well. Theres a tiny cave very close to there to begin with your fire and bed. on the same wall theres also a large cave on the other side of that log you walk across the river.

As soon as you walk up the hill, cross the log and walk forward there’s a jaguar spawn but it won’t ever wander into the oasis

I rarely use charcoal for fires, since the initial ignition handles most of my needs, and you use so much for the smeltery, but thes are good builds, this one in particular makes me feel like I should redo my base where you built yours. *ponders*

I'm thinking about buying this for console. Is it worth it and is it better then the forest?
While I’ve never played The Forest, I’ve seen a few hours of gameplay of it and I much prefer this game. Don’t get me wrong, The Forest is a polished game, but the survival aspect of Green Hell is what keeps me coming back!

How do you attach one frame to another one to look so smooth? And how did you build that frame for second floor? Thank you.
The frames should snap together. And you can build up to 3 stories for buildings. Are you on Switch, by chance?

They haven't given a specific date but they *did* confirm in a tweet that it's coming! If you want some ideas on places to build I have SOA1 and SOA2 playlists, and I build in SOA in my most reason Joy of Building series.

i can t even stay alive to find a place for my base... or i die from hunger,or from insects or the tribe people attack me... and most of the time i have voice in head an i think my dude is halucinating...
You may want to check out the first few episodes of my hard mode survival series. I show you how to survive starting with nothing, on permadeath mode (the highest difficulty).
I got attacked by a native and died there at my base cos he slashed me to death

I'd hate to make you jealous but I have a bamboo frame with a roof, half a bed and a camp fire...
Honestly that does make me jealous. 😁 When I focus on exploring I love the basic "satellite" bases that are simple but provide everything you need, while being able to cover lots of ground around the map.

The ladder blueprint comes with the multiple stories update, which hasn't made it to Switch just yet. I do hope they bring that DLS to console this year!
how do get the mods?
I use MODAPI. There should be some info in the description about the different ones I use for it. I recommend reading it over to see if it's right for you.
What mods do you use

I hear ya! The only reason I use MODs in this series is to show a base built in 30 minutes or less to give people ideas in one episode. When playing the game I prefer to do it “by hand.”
