Partybox 310 Review - The Beast is Back!
Вставка
- Опубліковано 5 жов 2024
- The JBL Partybox 300 was one of my favorite speakers of all time, and now JBL has released the sequel to that speaker, the Partybox 310.
Even though the name might suggest this speaker is strictly for party use only, the reality is that this speaker actually performs very well in other settings as well. The partybox has great sound quality and a design that is subdued enough that it would fit well, tucked into the corner of many different homes.
Even if you do not play this at max volume, the sheer size of the speaker allows for it to have a room filling sound even at lower volumes, whereas a smaller speaker would need to be played much louder to achieve the same effect.
Being such a huge speaker though does have its drawbacks, mainly portability. To combat this, JBL has added a set of wheels as well as a luggage handle so you can just roll this around like a suitcase and a place to mount this to a speaker stand, greatly increasing the versatility of this speaker.
With this new iteration, JBL has fixed almost every issue that I had with the previous version and made some additions as well. All of these together definitely make this a speaker to consider.
Thanks for Watching!

my speaker is coming on monday and i have never looked forward to anything so much in my entire life 😜
So which speaker would you suggest for the loudest I am from a Latin background and I like really loud and I like faced but I like music that you can hear the voices not just hip-hop
I already have 2 of them 😂
@@orim-my4pf what's the best price u have seen ?

Just from what I’ve heard, powering the box plugged in gives it a few more decibels than off its battery source.
Thx
Is this the same for the 12v supply as well?
Excellent video as I was considering buying. Great details and I was ROTL at the "if you put it in the trunk of your car make sure you secure it so it won't roll/thump around sounding like a corpse in the trunk of a car"
Very thorough with all the features, operation, etc. The info was appreciated.
Glad you enjoyed!
Cant wait mine. Patiently waiting on amazon. Ive been using my ion tailgator for years so im stoked to have this one.
Just bought this & man this sounds amazing & what I didn't know is that Harmon Kardon makes this speaker & they are my favorite. The sound is crisp & clear with deep bass & nice treble which both can be adjusted from the top, plus it's extremely loud so definitely good for parties or any event
Buy a second 310 speaker and the stands,,,,,I use them as my main home stereo for TV and computer, awesome thump and power!
The quality of this video is insane!! Keep it up man. Damn!
Thanks!
Very good review 👍 ticked all boxs
If they give the 310 a light show like the 1000 then I'll buy two of them lol
Yes... Lights & a dedicated Sub-Woofer needed in PB 310.
Subwoofer needed with 2 310's? These things are crazy
That right there is your reason to buy a 1000! Same price as 2 310’s
@@elislindqvist425 1000 doesnt have a battery. That is kind of a big deal when boating :)
only 4k subs? these are some quality vids man, keep it up
Still growing haha, thanks!
You’re great: You’re very articulate when delivering a lot of details and I trust your expert opinion. Please keep in mind I want to hear a speaker before I make a final decision. Therefore, can you please play devices you review in future videos, especially when you’re comparing models? I watched your entire 300-versus-310 video waiting to hear them comparatively. I watched this video expecting to at least hear the 310. I As a result, I’m simply making a suggestion for you to consider (for a subscriber like me) or to ignore if my suggestion is outside your YT-video goals. Please know I did subscribe. Ultimately, I wish you 10,000,000 more subscribers.
Thanks for the suggestion! I don't feel like including a sound test of the speakers would be very helpful though as there would be so many steps of coloration of the sound (my mic -> youtube compression - > Your speakers) that by the end of it what you would hear in the video would not represent at all what the speaker actually sounds like.
I bought some professional speaker stands with two of the 310s and they sound even better when elevated up off the ground and positioned directly in front of the party crowd. I also connect both of the 310s together in TWS (stereo) mode which is great! The only annoying thing is having to re-connect them in TWS mode each time I turn them on, which requires me to pull off the back panel and push the TWS button on the back of each speaker. Do you know if there's a quicker way to do this, perhaps using a key button combination on the top panel instead (like on the 300 model)? I tried holding down both of the bluetooth buttons simultaneously on both speakers for five seconds which works on the 300 model, but not the 310 model.
I know you posted this ages ago but I recommend downloading the Partybox app! Will help your circumstance
Hi can you tell me how much time you can play with 90% of the volume??
@@pokerbmx1with lights on and bass boost probably around 4-5 hours
You forgot to mention that the 310 has holes on the bottom to be pole mounted whereas the 300 does not. Big selling point for me
He did quickly mention it when talking about the wheels.
Yeah he talked about how it can be mounted
He did mention it at 03m50s
Hi very nice Presentation brother...Just wanted to ask if we take 2 of 310s would be it sound great for outdoors for the Crowd of 50 ???
Yeah it should be plenty
If you want to give a party with it get a car battery and a converter to charge it then the volume and bass are louder. My friends and I use 2 party box 310's and a generator and that's more than enough xp
Great video! Really debating buying this now that it's on sale. Hopefully my parents will let me lol
Also be great if the branding could be rotated when unit is laying horizontally
Awesome review! What would you recommend for a slightly bigger than 20 people party?
I just had a party of about 60 people in a 2500 sq.ft. room, and just one of these handled it like a beast. I played push it by salt and pepper, and it sounded amazing.
Solid video... Can you wire this to a different brand speaker to have both play?
I’ve been on the hunt for a 310 for over a year now 😔 can’t find one no where!!!
It's in stock again right now at JBL. I just picked one up myself.
This speaker is good for home workouts during lockdown 😂😂😂
it is!!
Jbl makes one of the best clicky buttons
they do feel very nice!
They need Bluetooth mic compatibly, and have it compatible with all JBL speakers.
I have a small portable BT Alesis that I have been using to teach dance classes, it does the trick (mostly.)
I was wanting to use something louder with more base. So, I'm thinking this may be the ticket to fill a room with sound where no one is necessarily talking during the music-- but playing finger cymbals to the music. Great review!
Get it! You won't regret it!
nice review. is the aftermarket car charger all right? can't seem to find a jbl one.
"... sounds like a corpse in the back of your car ...! LOL great review nonetheless :) will be getting mine after watching this :P
How does it sound as a karaoke set? worth the buy or better off getting those karaoke set?
U look like one...ol mate
Man I wish they put that handle on the 300 version 🤦♂️
Forreal!!
Nice review bro! How much to fully charge battery from 20% to full capacity?
Does the quality of music better if you plug a USB to it vs Bluetooth?
I believe BT 5.1 technology matches direct connect nowadays. Thoughts?
Was waitin for sale on this 310 but know it won't be here till black friday but now with more people showing the 110 I think that migh be my best bet
It’s $380 now

We had a 1st gen Echo in our master bathroom for listening to music in the morning ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxABghAEkaIDGZfHRBH3D3rBrlraNmnC71 and while in the shower. I didn't realize how tinny and awful the sound output on the original Echo was until we replaced it with the Studio. It was a sonic upgrade far beyond what I was expecting. Just wow. I love it because it's like having speakers IN the shower. My friend likes it because the music is so loud that she can no longer hear me singing. So that's a win-win.
I hear most people last only max 3/4 hours with the speaker on 100% volume with bass boost 2 and light feature off. How is it for you?
I tried it at 50% volume, that takes 6% each halfhour.
310 good and loud enough for house party?
Someone selling here in our place but a replica they say,, and claiming that you are the one who supply them , inbox me ill show my convo with them
Very usefull review thank you !! I have a question The Lg FH6 speaker is louder tha this?
The jbl is better because it can hit the lower bass. The frequency range on the jbl is 20k hz to 45 hz. The lg can’t hit the lower bass. The lg I probably louder but not as good bad response.
So for you whats the best between the 310 and 710?
I believe that to be 2 separate categories. Battery versus No Battery
Not impressed, I own a 50 watt ion and it sounds as good and almost as loud .there’s no way this thing has 240watts.
If u were face to face with the 310 u would think twice of saying that cuz the 310 is an overkill speaker.
I have just bought this for my social club. Would you be able to recommend a Bluetooth mic that works well with this please as I need to buy a couple?
Hi!! Can the speaker blow up if Bassbosted songs were playing at 100 volume and bassbost 1?
No 🤣
Since it is Bluetooth, can anyone just get on it and take it over? Hack I should say like other similar devices.
sorry how can i know what percentage I amplified the speaker other than what it says on the phone and around the bass in the speaker if for example 10% 30% ... Thanks in advance for the answer
Is the sound too thumpy for home use
Want to connect with my hisense tv
So would you say the 710 is better
Well of course the 710 is better but it's bigger and pricier. It doesn't have a battery tho so you need to decide what's best for you.
Almost 4x the power and bigger subs and tweeters too..so definitely. The slam is night and day against the 310..but 2-310's are almost the same in loudness..juts not as deep bass.
there s a review on some other vlog guy, that the sound cripples at volume goes 50% or more? does this observe at your side also?
Who cares how loud you expected it to be. The important thing is the pb 310 gets VERY loud with almost no distortion.
How is it compared to the EZ 15A Battery Powered PA Wharfedale Pro?
To note that the wharfedale is half the price of the pb310.
Is there any information on when the next version of the speaker will be released?
Let's throw a party this weekend ;)
a lil rona fest
I really want to buy one of these but I feel like a newer model could be coming out since this is a couple years old.
Same! Like one with tweeters setup in the middle for better sound when lying down
I want to buy this for Christmas but I feel like one week after Christmas that the JBL PARTYBOX 320 is going to release
Does anyone have links to a leaked 320?
The 310 is missing the 3rd Tweeter for stereo sound when layed on its side.
I just bought one.
I really do not like the way companies ALWAYS try to give you less product for more money.
But hey ho, the sound is Great.
Just need some better weather to see what realistic battery life is like at full volume with all of the lights on.
I hear 5 hours at max continuous.
5 hours max
@@1988josip4 hours max volume bass boost lvl 2 and lights off. What i think
should i go with this or the Mackie 2053605-01 Thump Go? to note that here the PB is 655 USD whereas the mackie is 502 USD.
I learned the hard way! I had more than 50 people at a backyard party! And they want it louder!! And I could not go louder! So this is not for a DJ
great video , is possible to add two JBL wireless Microphone to this unit ?
Yes
Do you think the Party box 310 can be louder and more powerful if you add another 310?
Yes, also plugging it in increases the volume
Stupid question I’m sure but how does I hook up my Sony Bluetooth turntable to the PartyBox 310? The Sony Bluetooth turntable has a built-in preamp and has two wires coming out back of turntable
I just bought this partybox 310 three months back the issue is that it has just stopped charging the battery but when I plug on the wall it function normally but not charging the battery what may be the problem?
then the batterie cells are dead
If I put earrape músic with Max volume IT can brokes?
Noooooo
Hope you can review the Sony XP700.
Can we connect a Bluetooth microphone for kareoke?
Does it come with a remote controller
Can you turn the light show off?
Yes
Is it worth to upgrade from Pb 300?
Yess
Hi, can this be connected to smart TV?
is it true that the eq controls buttons (bass, treble, echo) are for the mic only? i saw this on another review and it maked sense... because of the "echo" button
Yes
The input options seem like a downgrade from the 300
can it be used as a studio monitor, as I ordered it to mix with my pioneer ddj 400 !
I wouldn’t recommend this as a monitor, sound signature is very colored
@@jchen_tech any tips as it already arrived jesse ? Thank you
Is the battery rechargeable for portable use ?
Bruh what a question 🤣🤣 of course
No, once you’ve used the battery that’s it you need to buy another
Can you use it on a tv??
I bought a speaker like this, great sound but ... I can't see which song is playing, I don't have a playlist when I listen to MP3s from a USB stick. How do I switch to the next song?
Me too so confused 😕 I can't select to the next song
Double press the play & pause button to go to the next song
And triple press it to go back a song
Can you pair the partybox 310 with the partybox 300?
No unfortunately not
Only with cables
after charging the batterie 200 times the cells are dead and you need to replace them or it will no longer be portable
weak from jbl and thats why you only get a 2 years warranty
This I highly doubt. Lithium Ion batteries can go through about hundreds of charge cycles before they even start to show less charge per cycle. It would take thousands of charge cycles before the batteries were anywhere near dead.
@@WirableCrown1 😂 cause you dont know shit about lithium ion batteries

Is this speeker good for a bas guitar?
Can someone tell me how this sounds In a car
I would say it's better than a lot of built in car systems. Very loud, and great bass.
haha, for the price of the speaker, you can get way more power in your car , buy a amp and a 15 inch sub, beats this thing 100 times
@@promo130 at end of nite take speaker out of car yours get broken into and stolen. Now who's sounds better 🤔🤪😅🤣
Hi ,
I recently purchased a JBL Partybox 310 a week ago and have noticed that there is a static/hissing sound when there no music playing. I can also hear it when playing low volume music.
The static sound comes from the top of the speaker but not the bottom.
Anyone know if this is normal or is it defective?
Thanks!
On the top is the amplifier and the power brick
Do You recommend it for an amateur dj?
I think it would work but may not be the best option. The max volume isn't the greatest and there is a slight delay in the audio signal when using Bluetooth.

Talking too much!...no test sound.
Yes I will
Did you just assume that a design of a speaker could be offensive 😂😂
If you have two of them can you sync them to be stereo ?
Yes.
@Jesse Chen, Rather then explaining it's sound performance verbally it will be more helpful for me if you had played it.
I thought about doing sound tests before, but I just don't believe that you can get an accurate representation over UA-cam of how the speaker sounds. The sound will need to travel through my mic, through youtube compression, then through whatever audio device you're using, picking up distortion and coloration of the sound with each step.
Yes
I'm upgrading from a rave mini. Would this seem like a huge increase in sound?
Absolutely yes

How long does it need to charge? I charged mine until the charging light stopped, which was a couple hours. Used it at the beach and it only lasted four hours.
I tested 50% volume that one drains 6% in a half a hour. Did you had the music consistently on? Without play/pause/play?
But another friend of mine said the same as you.
Was that on bass boost lvl 2 ( punchy bass) and light feature off?
@@patricknieuwenhuis5153 I would say I had it at 50% volume, no bass boost and constantly on for that time
