The game is hard for me. Regret playing monk as casual player. Died 47 times and still on act 2. I even skipped 2 from early act 2 boss because I can't do it at all. My damage and survivality so bad. I don't know how to improving both since I can't progress at all. Maybe I need to keep grind money and level on lv22 area till lv30 while waiting good equipment on shop or drop. If everything of this is failed, I might quit and play poe1 instead. For me so far, elden ring and sekiro is surprisingly easier.
The build makes an immense difference. Especially skilling passives into sustainability is really important and once you get the hang of what is important for your build to stay alive and be able to deal consistent damage it starts feeling very smooth.
Read what each support gems give and get a weapon that gives life on hit ASAP, makes a huge difference when you get hit like a truck by most enemies. Get your evasion and energy shield up at least 45% in act 2.
I walked through act 1 with cascade, switched to the cold strike with herald of ice. blows up packs. single target bell is broken. biggest hurdle for poe 1 players is figuring out new ways to deal with problems.
currently on act 3 with invoker monk. I started glacial cascade -> wind blast -> ice strike. Use bell to clear, have a ranged skill and a melee skill, use killing palm for executes. Prioritize dodging, most of your attacks will dash in or hit at range. Get movement speed on boots.
I feel like I'm a crazy person. The controls felt very very UNCOMFORTABLE. It felt like my character was in mud, or had a movement impairing effect. Then the attacks were just like the movement. Then I realized all the characters handle the same. Then I found out that's just, how this game it. Then I found a micro transaction button. Had to Uninstall..
Microtransactions aren't pay to win, they don't give any power. Also you got a bunch of store points with your early access purchase. I tried all 3 input methods, found game controller the most comfortable. Movement speed boots are definitely a big upgrade and a good thing to shoot for first! By act 2 you blow up packs and get around much faster :)
I personally really appreciate the dodging and ability to attack while moving! That being said I'm new and have no prior knowledge or relevant experience.
5:09 I think the term is #girlBoss

lol watched this whole video and meanwhile thought this video had atleast 10k likes only to find out it got 10likes
4 hours of gameplay and he oneshots the boss...
poe 1 players overflowing the subreddit with tears... I really hope ggg doesn't cuck the game because of the crybabies.
I felt like my power was going up and down a lot! Draven felt very easy, but some of the bosses were a challenge - but a welcome one!
