      @@MADEEveryday do you use the zipper foot for the entire project? and do you switch zipper foot sides when you sew each side?

    • @MADEEveryday
      @MADEEveryday  4 роки тому +6

      @@CrazieRacie You could use the zipper foot for the entire project. But I like to switch out to my standard presser foot for the sides and bottom. Your standard foot gives you more control because it has more surface area pressing down on your fabric. But your zipper foot is nice because you can get real close to the teeth of the zipper. So they both serve a purpose. But you can always make it work with what you have!

    Great Tutorial. I am new to sewing and not real sure what zippers are appropriate for the different bags. Never new there were so many different ones. You explain in the simplest way keep up the great work. I think it is great that someone would take the time to make these tutorials I know that they have to be very time consuming. In my case I have begun to learn my way around my sewing machine somewhat and learning sewing terms. Think of something you have never done before itls like going from Fractions to Calculus over night with some of the tutorials I have tried to follow. I wish a beginner could sit beside someone and help break it down so true beginners understand. I think you are great well spoken and sweet. I was able to complete my first bag but had trouble with my fabric shifting hoping it will get better. Never would of thought of the word shifting if I hadn't read it before :) I would have said dang fabric keeps moving. Bless you and thank you for your hard work

    Your tutorial is great! It really helped my daughter and I to figure out how to 'sandwich' all the pieces correctly. Thank you for the reminder about keeping the zipper open for the final stitching part!! Please share more how to videos!!

    Hi, I really enjoy your tutorials, but I'd like to know the brand of the zipper you use in this tutorial, because I can't really tell the quality of anything sold online. Do you have any suggestions by any chance? thanks in advance.

    Great tutorial! I have a question for you. What kind of fabric do you recommend using for the lining?

    • @MADEEveryday
      @MADEEveryday  7 років тому +2

      You could use a lot of things! Probably the easiest is just a simple quilting cotton, very easy to find. Or you could get fancy and use satin, etc. :)

      +Katie L Wow. That's fantastic! I'm impressed Katie! The metallic linen is from a linen shop in the LA fabric district. I wish I had bought 2 more yards! :) - Dana

    Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Very well made and easy to understand. I love the pompoms. Now, I notice you didn't use stabilizer or interfacing. Any special reason or just taste?

    • @MADEEveryday
      @MADEEveryday  8 років тому +4

      Just personal preference. You can definitely add interfacing or an extra layer of fabric if you want the pouch to be more stiff. Either way works great!

    Finished my first bag. New to sewing and used same fabric for liner. Sewed together wrong at first so had to rip it all out. But I marked liner 2nd time and got it to work. Thank you for the great video.
