I'm like you: I buy keys, not runs. My boys like runs. When I grade, I look hard at the spine. I believe the spine drives the price, more than anything else. I could be wrong on that one....

Kudos on the Marvel Premiere and X-Men books. I remember the gentleman from Zapp thought the X-Men was around an 8.5. Boy, was he conservative!

Wow, there must be 500,000 worth of comics and toys there, I’d love to organize it all, I have OCD
One time in our basement we had water coming in rumpus room and had to move comics upstairs to save them.
It's a scary thing.
Mine got ruined by our pipes busting in winter while we were in Vegas. All my comics from when I was a kid. Alot of 12 and 15 cent Spidermans.

No, he's a raw collector.
Just bought 2 of the Antman's and didn't notice when I bought it but one was signed by Bob Layton. I don't think they noticed either cuz it was sold to me for a cheap price. It's signed right above Antman's head in black sharpie and it's hard to see but when you do see it it's kind of noticeable. Looked up Layton's auto and it looks legit. Thinking of sending it in to be verified but won't be able to send it in to CGC. It will have to be CBCS.

I would say almost ALL Marvel superheroes are overpriced at present time. Fortunately, I hardly paid anything for these books.
I'm a big Fan of the character...loved the way they used him in end game..

A little advice. Stop calling books a newsstand copy when it was never a direct copy to begin with! Direct copies started in 1979!

Awesome grades on those last two books! Tough break concerning the flood. I had a ton of comics torn to shreds by squirrels that got into the attic. It’s gets harder to protect the collection as it gets bigger. I am contemplating of renting a small storage unit to move a portion of my collection for extra protection. Good luck with future grades! Overall you did well!
It's never fun to find your stuff destroyed... We have to do our best to protect it. Thank you for the positivity!
Tbh just a tip for submitting. Do not submit if your trying to re sell them cause in this situation here it looks like you lost money tbh cause you can get higher grades for these books for around the same price or just slightly higher then what you paid to submit and wait. Did you press and clean your books too? If you didn't then you need to start doing so
I really couldn't disagree more. It probably wasn't worth sending in the 25c Eternals 1, but I believe all the other books to be worth the submission. Yes, these books were pressed and cleaned prior to submission.
@@CGL_Collectibles yea the books you showed in the 2nd half may have come back really good but the ones in the first half were a big miss. Only times I recommend sending in a book if it's gonna come back that low of a grade is if it's a big grail. For example someone gave me a beaten up copy of ultimate fallout 4 and I know I'll come back like a 4.5 or more but imma send it anyways cause I'm happy to have it and try to preserve it cause it's such a high price book and at a mid grade it'll be maybe like 150 or so but imma keep it cause it was a gift
