Fantastic video! I love all of the Toyota/Yamaha collaborations and own three of them myself:
      1990 MR2 3S-GTE Turbo
      1993 Soarer GT-T 1JZ-GTR Twin-Turbo
      1994 Celica GT4 WRC 3S-GTE Turbo
The ultimate prize to complete my garage is a toss up between the 2000GT and the Lexus LFA. Perhaps, one day?

There was some interesting stuff between Yamaha and Nissan prior to this that makes for some interesting research. The 2000GT was very nearly a Nissan. Nissan decided they didn’t need Yamaha for this so they went on to make their own 240Z totally in house. Toyota took the engine design from the 2000GT and developed the MKI Supra’s engine from that.
So, the Supra and the Z are, tangentially, related in an interesting way. That’s the short version but the details are even more interesting and you may enjoy researching them as I did.

I’m a new subscriber to your channel but I’ve been loving your output so far. I’m always happy to hear anything you would like to do on Toyota/Yamaha engines and the Toyota sports cars they power. I have three 3S-GTEs and a 1JZ-GTE Twin-Turbo in my small fleet of Toyotas. These are what I love. Perhaps you could do an episode on the special relationship between Yamaha and Toyota and you could mention it there?
      Thanks for the reply!

I had a chance to drive one, in soCal; in 1978... one with a yellow paint scheme over a very dark blue/black interior. I didn't get a chance to wring it out, just a few dozen miles on surface streets and another 20 miles or so on the 90 freeway. Steering was light but direct, suspension was supple, but what I remember most was the jewellike interior... everything was tiny and fragile looking, yet surprisingly crisp and solid.
Still... easily one of the most beautiful automobile roofline/greenhouses ever made.

Why doesn't anyone give a review of the 2018-2020 TOYOTA Yaris Sedan?
    Is it really "that" bad?
Mine was purchased 07-2020, and as of today, I only have 16,387 miles on it.
A Mazda 3 Sedan was an option when I purchased the Yaris, but as we all know COVID happened...
The MAZDA (FWD) would have cost me about $24k, as compared to the Yaris (LE) that only cost me $16,868

The 2000GT was, like other 60's-70s sports cars, was terrible. It put prettiness over function. Like the Opel GT, it never was thought out too well for drivers or maintenance, or really even ultimate performance.. Honestly the best sports cars of that time were hot V8s that were dropped into small cars (think Cobra). Toyota flopped selling this thing.
