I have a newer Helix 10 SI GN4 that I just noticed Saturday the right side looks like what I just saw on your video. After about 30-40 feet the picture gets really dark. It doesn't matter which way i have the boat facing towards shore or off shore. Do I have a transducer issue?
The picture for my video is dark on the right side because it drops off fast in that location. If you are getting a dark area after 30040 feet in on the right side consistently then you do have a problem. My guess would be the transducer - I would Call Humminbird service when you are on the water. They do a great job and have talked me through a few issues in the past.
Hi, I love this video. Thank you for explaining the SI setup tutorial. On a side note, what GPS screen are you using, and how did you get it to color coordinate with the depth contours? I would love to have all the different depths highlighted in different colors, as you have done. Thanks. I have a navionics map chip, as well as the Humminbird lakemaster plus.
Thank you for the kind words. I plan to make a video next week on how to break down a new lake by using your Humminbird and Lakemaster mapping card. In that video I will explain how to set the depth colors.
Hi, I have a Helix 9 mega Si+ G4N and a Helix 12 mega Di+ G4N but can’t get the Si enhance menu to show up, I have changed the settings to custom but no help. I have version 2.660 installed, any tips? Thanks
@@highschoolfishingcentral7753 thanks, I tried that, when I changed to custom i get 2 extra options on the menu (Si contour mode and Si sharpness) Si enhance does not show up. I would send you a pic of both but can’t do it on this thread. Is possible that there is another setting that I preventing that? Thanks
Dynamic contrast is a nice set it and forget it option. I prefer however to control the contrast on my own since I shange the sensitivity daily anlong with the manual contrast.
The basic settings are the same for 2d, Di, Si, 360, and from what I understand Mega Live. Always check sensitivity and contrast daily to get the best images.
I really like this video. common sense and straight to the point. Thank you
Thanks, new content coming soon.
Thank you for taking the time to make this video. I now know what to adjust and will do so day to day.
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks ...that made a lot of sense!!

The only thing I can think of is to restore the factory defaults and then turn on custom again and see if that works.

@@highschoolfishingcentral7753 thanks as I just got my first Mega SI unit and am still learning 😊
thank you!!
You're welcome!
Question, Are the settings discussed in this video basically the same for DI and Mega 360 or are there differences with those options?

Thx
What generation Helix is this?
G3N
Just some feedback. The volume on the intro is obnoxiously loud.
Other than that, the info seems correct.
How do you determine scroll speed ?
A basic rule of thumb it to set the speed a little faster than your boat is moving. If I am idling at 4 mph I will generally set the speed to 5.
@@highschoolfishingcentral7753 thanks
Great way of putting there’s no perfect setting.
