The funny thing is, as MBBS graduates, we are required to complete our internship under AYUSH too, for a week...
They are trying to inculcate some of ayurveda in our medicine. They should actually do it in our pharmacology first. Introducing ayush in internship is pointless.

Please do go through it.. I have seen good effects of Ayurveda.. Even Doctors are adding it day to day care... Allopathy and Ayurveda is going hand in hand nowadays... Probably it's more on Nutrition... And obviously medicines are derived from plants and fruits and chemical compositions... I will say use both...as a doctor you need to understand both.... Problem with our country is Over the counter drugs.... If you consult an ayurvedic doctor he will tell you your mistakes in your diet as well

The point you made about our education system causing loss of scientific temper in India is really good. It also shows why there are really few innovations done in India. We don't realise that in the coming modern world, India as a country is not giving much value to inventions which would benefit humanity. We are just giving the world Cow piss and cow dung. I really don't wanna see India being remembered like this in the future.
But you also need to understand other factors as well such as lack of funds and modern technology. We have enough curious and capable scientists in our country. Don’t believe everything you hear. We can’t be compared to the West. Not at this point at least. Remember we were looted off million of dollars.

We are wayyy behind. I'm not spitting anything i feel. You can look up how much patents we file every year despite our working population. Just letting a narcissist roam around the world while embarrassing himself as well as this country's image. We can't afford to hold onto what happened 75 years ago . Just look at what other countries are doing , even the developing one's. Other nations which were also under colonial rule are today progressing at a very good pace. I understand your emotion but as a personal opinion, i don't think that it(the statement) can be used to justify why we are not more innovative. Also capitalism is to blame for this.

However, they’re not as vast and diverse and therefore, don’t face the challenges we face. After the independence, the government did a really pathetic job to uplift our people. We finally have a leader taking charge and improving our position and power in the global platform. It’s a long way to go but with the right leadership and more education of the populace, we’ll get there.

We were fortunate enough to have a brilliant physics teacher who would always draw parallels to real world scenarios in whatever topic she taught. Most other teachers would just snub curious students because they would not know anything outside the text books and in many cases would not have understood the meaning of the lessons themselves. They would just expect you to reproduce it word for word
As a Hindu, I know Avatars represent other spiritual things and not theory of Evolution. Hindu text's gives us inspiration to learn new things but the old text's simply doesn't have most of the modern concept's. But I would still follow Hinduism because of how it is developed.(Not following the superstitions that made a bad look of Hinduism in front of other people, People confuse the superstitions with actual Hinduism.)

Dogma, doctrines and superstitions, these are some of the many layers of the Onion that is the religion that comes under the umbrella group- Hinduism!
Cherry picking undesirable layers and keep peeling them off leaves us nothing, gives us nothing. Those layers are the Onion just like the many facets like Polytheism, Henotheism and it's associated rituals and worship practices, the dogmas, the superstitions, the doctrines and the unquestionable, unchangeable traditions, the blind subservience to authority, authority be it a God, a Guru or a revered scripture.

The spirituality that springs out of such ideas and forms of propitiation, reflection, introspection, and meditation is also part of the same in-group religion.
Its a huge oxymoron when you realise that evolution existed long before any Hindu scriptures and Hindu Gods because of course it was all written by humans and humans didn't come into existence until millions of years of evolution happened😂😂😂😂

As someone who went to school in the 90s and got good marks but took up commerce stream, I completely agree with you. Most people in our times took up science because they thought it had good 'scope' and not for love of science. By 'scope' they mean to make good money. Some of them but not all may have indeed ended up making money by doing a job in big companies.
But as a person interested in personal finance, I can tell that many of these people have done a lousy job of managing their money too. So they studied science in which they had no interest with an objective to make money which they had no idea how to manage. So I think scientific temper and personal finance are life skills which has to be acquired through reading and learning rather than by just taking courses in school.

Science and Hinduism can coexist together and there are multiple evidences of it integrating well within the Indian society in past with different schools of thoughts.

Been following your channel for a while and one I must say what I liked was your presentation.I wish I had a teacher like you growing up.In school days there was this obsession to get good marks and students who didn't were looked down upon.Also the problem with schools is the method of teaching which is usually chalk and talk,students taking notes which they go home rote learn vomit it in their exam paper and forget what they learnt.It took me a long time to realize that Iam an experiential learner who either needs a simulation of an experience or an actual experience to learn something.
Later in my life I learnt the Japanese language.My approach was an allround one where I did rely on textbooks and teachers but I also consumed content in Japanese(anime,manga,manzai,tv shows,game shows) and even spoke to Japanese people which improved fluency.

No one is perfect on Social media, if somebody is ahead of you, don't get jealous. Everything has a reason and even science counterparts culture and religion in some or the other way.
Ranveer himself has confessed that he is algo driven.
He then focused on 'NoFap' just because it was gaining popularity and now that 'NoFap' has lost its relevance, they no more make videos on the same. Thats how he rides the trend. No doubt its a clever move but it somehow makes his audience look like idiots!

All youtubers are going on the same path. Either they are criticizing someone, they are mocking someone, making fun of something or spreading half cooked information. Stopped watching Big Brain Co. months ago when their so called highly researched content was based on just surface level info which wasn't all true and the lies were presented in a way that hurt my community sentiments.
The way you placed your argument on lack of Scientific Temper was brilliant. But I believe it’s a basic self esteem and inferiority complex thing. All these years, they heard great thing about the civilisation of white peoples from their NRI uncle. Since 2014, the Indianness of people have returned. They don’t shy away from being brown. On the downside, they wanna be the superior civilisation when it comes to everything. I believe it will improve as we become economically better as a country.

Truth is harsh and bitter and we want avoid it. It sad to see most of these contents are targeted towards India’s most backward parts and unfortunately it keeps them further away from socio economic growth.
See we can uplift the culture in a healthy way and it's a good thing - the stories, legends, arts, history etc . But I don't like the fact of mixing science or even comparing with science .. because both are unique in their way .. what we're seeing now is just pure communal politics and that's what everyone has to question

I am a 12 cbse neet student who is just fucked up with the education system even though I manage to get the top scores in my school i never really studied from my school teachers only from UA-cam channels and even foreign science channels like veretasium

Then the God men. The common factor with all these people : spinning stories. It is a general fact that there is kid in everyone, kids are raised on fairy tales. These guys build adult fairy tales to cater to the wishful thinking and desire for such stories by the public .
Dude, I watched couple of videos of that channel. Seriously they are big shit co. They chose all click bait topics and start narrating. Once we personally research any topics of their videos you'll find alot of discrepancies. Last but not least their masala angles of lightning arrangement and camera position. God save us 🙏
I completely agree with you. I often get into disputes with family and when I layout perfectly sound arguments that I belive, their defense is I've not faced life difficulties to know miracles and/or I'm arrogant.

I'm not religious, i discard all blind religious practices created by man in the nams of God . I'm Agonist/spiritual and i truly understand what actually God is. It is subjective and something personal. Coming to your point, it is hard to explain here by just typing. I understood the basic gist of your problem and i myself faced that most of the time in my life. Believe me your parents are not wrong, it's just that their way of conveying the point in wrong and also you are not open to learn anything beyond physical science. Science is just a tool to understand the physicality of this universe. There are spiritual aspect also which is beyond science and rather a superset of science. Im saying this after being a. Science scholar and atheist for longer time.
