- Fishing in the Vancouver, BC area. I went out for some coho salmon. They are lots of fun to catch. I hooked a bunch on rooster tails, but lost a few due to rookie mistakes. Just keep learning and keep fishing.

About Bottles Longwood:
I love fishing for big bass, sturgeon, trout, and salmon, down to small panfish, like crappie and bluegill or pumpkinseed sunfish. Monster fish are great, but the little ones are still fun too. I fish mostly in the lower mainland; around the Vancouver area in BC. When I first started to get back into fishing I spent a lot of time at Deer Lake in Burnaby. I believe that's where I first started bass fishing. I've recently gotten back in to hunting as well.
I don't claim to be a good fisherman, but I love to do it.
Fishing is not just proving how good a fisherman you are but the thrill and excitement it brings. Keep it up bro.

Haven't fished it the past couple years but Oct Nov were best
Awesome video. I am going to fish the mouth of the capilano to try for some coho. I'm from washington and don't know much about the fisheries up there. One tip I can give you, instead of keeping the line tight with the rod tip off to the side, try keeping the rod tip up in the air. I only turn the tip to the side if I'm fighting the fish and its running to the side, so i try to turn the head back to control the fish and tire it out
any insight on where to fish this time of year is greatly appreciated :)

I've never fished the capilano, so can't offer much advice there! If the pinks are still running in the squamish, you can expect 30+ fish days!! I went for the first time and it was non stop action!

@@enescetin9968 I don't post the names of these smaller river systems on the internet. When the salmon come, they're in pretty much every river. I'm mostly using Rooster tails. There's a link in the description.

Great Vid!! I havent fished for salmon since 2009 when i lived in north van. Heading there for christmas this year, I cant remember, is there any late coho that stay in the Capilano around Christmas?

You will find Coho in the Cap, it will take some work to find them. Try under the highway bridge. Good luck
