Just got done listening to this podcast on Spotify, which is where I listen to you most often. I do subscribe to the UA-cam channel because on the other podcasts that I miss I try to catch clips of them from time to time when I have the time. My Trump moment was more in general. I did not support him in 2016 and I really wrestled with the idea of who to vote for. I literally, as I am voting did I vote for Gary Johnson. Sometime in that first year, I realized all of the things that he had accomplished and thought to myself he is definitely not a Johnny come lately he is the real deal and I have been an avid supporter ever since.
The "when" topic kind of tells your tale. He won in 2016, never trailed in the primaries, so most of us commoner Republicans were there from the start. I've got the 2016 tee-shirt that reads: Trump 2016 - Finally Someone with Balls!

By the way, I had to register as Republican (for the second time) to vote for Trump in the primary. Pre-Trump I was fed up with both parties.
