After six decades of boiling and struggling to peel, I began steaming for 13 minutes. That was a couple of years ago and they are perfect every time and peel so easily and consistently.
I use a rice cooker that has a steamer tray... add some water and turn it on, wait until the water starts to boil, add the eggs to the tray, wait 10 min, move the eggs to ice water. So so much easier and consistent than boiling them. I like the yolks to be a little creamier and this makes them perfect every time.

Such a game changer!

Nice! I haven't tried using a rice cooker, but also don't like boiling them. I prefer steaming for easy to peel hard boiled eggs.
So are the eggs cold or room-temp??
I usually use them straight from the fridge!
Very nice
thank you! :)
i don't own or have a steam insert
now what?
Do you have any inserts from an instant pot or air fryer? I honestly use the rack from my instant pot in my pot now :)
Do you cover the pot?
Yes!
Yes. I’m a 13 minute man.
