Custom Sublimated Embroidered Patch | Sawgrass & Avancé 1501C
A unique way to make photo-realistic patches is with sublimation. It's also a great way to combine an embroidery machine and sublimation printer.
It's easy to do and is something your customers probably can't get anywhere else.
First you print out your photo on a special sublimation paper using the Sawgrass SG1000. Then you heat apply the image to a piece of patch material.
White Patch Material from Colman and Company is perfect for this because it's 100% polyester.
Then you will use your embroidery machine to sew out a nice, thick patch boarder.
Next, you will use a hot knife to cut out your patch and seal the edges at the same time. For this project we heat applied our patch onto a snapback trucker hat.
