    This is exactly what a 924 does best! Stays planted on the turns and keeps up the momentum.

    Great racing! What ruleset are you using for these historic cars? Would be interesting to see what you have done with the car

      Thanks!
      In HRSA we use relatively strict rules, so we have to keep the cars very period correct. So that means no power steering, no modern fuel injection systems or turbos, etc..
      My car is mostly standard, it has dual 40mm weber carbs, upgraded exhaust system and I have a slightly more aggressive cam. I have upgraded Bilstein suspension and brakes from a 924 Turbo, and am currently running MRF ZTR tires. All the other mods are just weight reduction and also safety items.

      @@TihanVRwow, that thing really breathes well with those Webbers. What kind of rpms is it pulling? Great driving 👍

      @TihanVR  11 місяців тому

      @Kristian_Saile I usually only rev it to around 5,5K
      It can rev safely to 6,5K, but with the current cam peak power is at 5K, so no point revving much past that

      @@TihanVR gotcha, sounds like more than that. Really enjoyable watching you trade places either that 911 and 910. That’s what it is all about. Your braking points were SO much deeper, fun seeing you pushing it to the edge. Good stuff.

      @@TihanVR That sounds odd, even a std engine is usually reved to 6k for the best power average(max power is somehere around 5800). With a updated cam i would expect the shift point to be higher, maybe 6,2k ??

    What suspension you use in your car? GAZ, Bilstein?

    • @TihanVR
      @TihanVR  4 місяці тому

      This car has some pretty basic bilstein coilovers in the front and shocks in the rear. The rest is all standard apart from some thicker ARBs that were custom made by someone who has since retired.
      My current BMW is running ISC 2 way adjustable suspension and is leagues better handling

    I performed against a 930 turbo on Nordschleife due to better break balance and accelerations...

      Very nice!
      These cars just are amazingly well balanced, so play against cars way above their class

      Those things are just stupid fast. They weigh nothing, and all of them that race with me have trick engines bored and stroked to 2.2L or bigger, that make ridiculous power, you can’t race against them in any period machinery on a budget at least

    Set aside some $$$$ for a new clutch !!!!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂is

    • @TihanVR
      @TihanVR  7 місяців тому

      Hah, how so? Don’t have any issues with the clutch in the car, and haven’t had any since, and I’ve done 7 full race weekends since this video in it.
      The car is just severely underpowered, but if you want to see how I do in a fast car, just look at my latest videos in my new BMW

      @@TihanVR power shifting is a great way to kill a clutch!!!!

    • @TihanVR
      @TihanVR  7 місяців тому

      True, if you do it harshly. I still let off the throttle fully, and depress the clutch all the way in before going to the next gear, I do all the motions, but fast, hence why I’m not much harder on the clutch than road driving. You can see there isn’t like a jerking motion between gears, that is what happens when you do it to harshly.
      I drive all my cars this way, and have never had an issue with a clutch in my nearly 5 years of extensive racing and road driving.

      OK, I know how difficult and expensive it is to change the clutch on transaxle Porsche!! I have had 3 of them , SOOOO I never abuse the clutch!!!!😀😀😀😀😀😀🚘🚘🚘🚘

      Nope, stock standard 924 2.0 8 valve for the most part, just with some twin Weber 40mm side draft carburetors
