This is a video showing all the commercially licensed releases of Vocaloid characters from newest to oldest. These Vocaloids are produced under license by YAMAHA and are able to be bought by any bidding producers through commercial outlets. (from Vocaloid Wiki)
The purpose of this video is to show the number of existing Vocaloid characters out there, the differing languages they are available in, and most importantly, how good they can sound when tuned properly- considering voice is the most important aspect for a Vocaloid, because clearly, they are made to sing.
This is the 2nd part of the "every single vocaloid but with amazing tuning series", consisting of Vocaloid characters that were initially released in the VOCALOID3 engine(V3s). Here's the first part of the series, consisting the V1s & V2s: • every single vocaloid ...
The 3rd part consisting the later Vocaloids (V4s & V5s) will be uploaded in the future.
Clarifications/Disclaimer:
I'm not including private/upcoming/cancelled Vocaloids/voicebanks
UTAUs and fanmade derivatives (fanloids) are not considered as Vocaloids, so you will not see them here
A big majority of the Vocaloids have multiple voicebanks in different Vocaloid engines, and including every single voicebank will make this video too lengthy. So I've simplified this video by including only the differing languages each Vocaloid character is available in
I've also simplified this video by limiting the Vocaloid engines the Vocaloids are available in. (Which voicebank is used is based on my personal preference)
The adding of additional voicebanks like Append & Extend (or any voicebank that is meant to sound different from the Vocaloid's original intended sound) as vocal samples in this video are limited as well

Exactly! I hate when people dismiss a Vocaloid cuz they herd one song and they didn't sound right there.
Before I judge if I like the voice or not I always listen to a few songs before I decide if I like them or not, but even then I know there's that one song somewhere in cyber space where that loid's voice will blow my hair away
Mixing actually determines a lot too! It's hard to tell someone that the loid's voice is powerful if the music overpowers the voice. But then, there's the thing if the voice is too loud it gets annoying!
I feel like this is maybe what killed Gumi’s popularity in the early days. She’s my favorite Vocaloid but I’ve heard AWFUL covers from her, and it was usually people using her to cover iconic Miku songs, and doing a poor job of it to top it off, and Gumi just isn’t made for that.

Cover artitst (for majority of all the Vocaloids) and some producers don't know how to truly use a voice, nor do some bother with experimenting with how to make the voice unique. It's especially bad when cover artitst use a low pitch Vocaloid to sing high pitch. Most often than not it won't sound good.

These vocaloids have so much potential, honestly, these producers should not be scared to use them. Imagine how much more music can be made. If Clara and Burno where used or even hope they make more vocaloids of different languages
The only thing is that bruno and clara voices sound "ugly". That's why a lot of people prefer to use miku or gumi for spanish. Ecample: Alex trip (The winner of the last Miku Expo.)

I know this is a very old comment, but I just wanted to say that a big reason that Aoki Lapis can sound this great is Cillia's tuning. I would say that she's one of the best Vocaloid, Utau and SynthV tuners in the world.
I would dare say she could make any of the Vocaloids in this video sound better than the examples of "great tuning" shown here. She still goes by kyaami here on youtube but her preferred and used name for her own originals and in Japanese media is Cillia. You should really look her up if you like great tuning. :)

I don’t know if a lot of non-Spanish speakers know how similar Japanese and Spanish are sound wise, I was able to say Japanese words effortlessly when I thought of them in Spanish compared to English. I wish I could see more of Bruno and Clara covers because they work so well

her default language is only spanish (the cover i put in was actually portuguese , i thought it was spanish 😅) but her voicebank is always used to tune in many other languages for some reason
@@monsteralfie MAIKA has a ton of additional phonemes to allow for greater flexibility concerning language, similarly to SeeU (who has a few english phonemes to make her 'Kongrish' better). That's the main reason for her typically getting used in many non-spanish songs.

Okay no, there's some people who say that but the main reason is that she came out REALLY late in V3's life cycle so she was basically completely overshadowed by the release of V4 and it's shiny new vocals.
Theres a few reasons;
1: She has the same pitch and type of voice of many V3 vocals (Rion, V3 Gumi, V3 Miku, Mayu, Contest Price Galaco)
2. Late release in V3
3. Difficulty in Tuning

@@acedv6134 No more like, "Wow Rion sounds so much like Miku, but Miku is much easier to work with". That kinda stuff. Also it preferences, like Meiko is a more adult vocal, and Lily V3 is more masculine, they are more different. *Kinda Similar to Meika Mikoto*
as a native spanish-speaker, bruno and clara actually sound really good. people don't give them enough credit for what it's worth! their vocals are very clear and all that stuff. and even in sound, they're pretty good! the words that i don't understand are just words that i don't understand in general lmao
also i cant lie, CUL is kinda nice tho

final edit, hopefully: Kokone and Anon sounded so gooood... Kanon was nice sounding too :flushed: and do I even have to comment on Flower? Flower's voice in general is so powerful it sounds so goood! And Chika was kinda cute sounding, too!

It’s so sad how not enough creators use these Vocaloids. The only ones you really see now are the mains like miku, rin, Len, Meiko, etc. Other creators have to take it upon themselves to make covers of songs with them but there’s never really any original written songs that are made with them. #makevocaloidgreatagain.
