Congratulations on a very nice hat. I live in Canada so 5 months of felt hats for me. I love the pinch front style best but i own several Cattleman crease hats as well. 3 - 3 1/2" brim for around town and i go with 4 1/4 to 4 1/2" for trekking in the boonies. Cheers. And thanks for the rundown.
I have a stetson royal flush and i love it. When im outside working i wear a straw hat, Bryce is what its called i beleive. Been wanting another hat. I like the look of this one. Thanks for the video and your input. Lol not many videos on gamblers, guess not many people wear them.
Actually the Seneca has a 3 1/2” Brim. I like the narrow brim which is why I love the more subtle conservative look of the Open Road series which has a 2 3/4" Bound Edge Brim. It’s not the 10 gallon hat style. However, the Seneca’s pinch front crown is a nice look if you want something other than the Cattlemen Crown.
Not a criticism, my friend, just an observation. We all have our subjective opinions and have to go with what we're comfortable with. But, I've had to get other people's opinions many times on how I looked wearing things. I tried on a Homburg once and my wife said, yuck. But, I tried on a Gus, which I always thought would look terrible on me, and she thought it looked amazing. I was genuinely shocked. Often we're our own worst critics. I seriously doubt you looked goofy. I'd be willing to bet, if polled, a dozen pretty ladies would have thought you looked like a million bucks. But, hey, the whole point of dressing well is to feel good about oneself and project the best person we can be. And, if you're more comfortable with another style, that's quite alright. Anyway, thank you so much for listening to my review and taking the time to comment.
Came for the hat review and stayed for everything else. Great info! 👍

Also, you live in Mississippi and wear a felt hat during the summer months? I’ve been in Mississippi and I would be drenched. Brave man!
I ordered one and sent it back. Looked goofy on me with it's little brim and pinch front crown.
