Your series of guides for aba imo have been the best out there; They give you something easy to digest without all the over explaining I've seen in other guides. I wish you made more of them for other characters, but I'm happy for these 3 aba ones because it has helped me pick her up extremely fast.

Hey, thanks for putting this together! Just curious, do the fuzzies work on short characters like Baiken and Giovanna? I've been having trouble landing those setups against them and wasn't sure if it was my execution or they just aren't fuzzyable (namely off of the whiff j.p safe jump and the c.s BRC 236K into rising j.s ones) given their height.
i just cannot get the super wallbreak fuzzy timing down. i can do it but not consistently at all. the timing on the jp feels like it has to be at the earliest possible frame or else the js is too low and doesnt allow a second jump.
do you plan at all to upload these to the game's combo/setplay thingy? gg strive is the frist fighting game im taking seriously, i managed to get over 200 wins + tower rank 8 but i want to get even better! ...but in my mind, i struggle to translate "236k" to "quarter circle forward B" ngl, so i rlly do like using the ingame combo uploads, as they display all the right glyphs ...or maybe i should just write myself a translator lol

@@anthonyhewitt1656 thank you! the benefit is that by timing iadb jS your low option becomes 2D instead of 2K, so you don't get a fuzzy which is sad but your low option is more threatening
You always cross up if you're really close, so be mindful of the distance between you and the opponent. If you're doing no delay it should still safejump though, you just have to block the other direction

@@eebbaa5560 I'm not sure what you mean by kara fd, if theres a point in the video I do it you could timestamp and I could explain further. If you mean doing a safejump and blocking with FD when they dp, you just have to hold back and two buttons after you press the normal youre safejumping with. If you mean something like the 236K fast RRC jK key grab with FD block coming out on DP, thats the same principle of holding back and two buttons after safejumps. If neither of those situations is what you mean please timestamp so I can help
@@XenoAme i couldn’t find a point where you did it in this video, but i’m talking about safejumps where you use FD to fast fall during the safejump setup. an example i can think of off the top of my head is one where sin whiffs 5p after throw then does IAD FD js for a safejump (i forgot the specifics but apparently IAD jh isn’t a true safejump for him). i’ve heard this technique referred to as a kara FD or an FD break and i was wondering a) if it’s useful at all for ABA setups and b) how to execute it (you can’t do it with the macro apparently).

Firstly, heres the link for what FD break is glossary.infil.net/?t=FD%20Brake A) It could very well be useful for ABA setups, but I don't know of any myself. I never tried to lab it but feel free to try and apply it yourself. It's applications are niche because you need a situation where you can just *almost* get a safejump, so finding situations may be difficult or extremely unrealistic. B) To do these "FD Safejumps" you have to manually press 2 buttons because the macro doesn't instantly use FD for some odd reason. I personally know how to do this with Chipp's left/right safejump after cS otg iad jH/jS crossup. It's mainly a timing thing and I don't know any resources that directly explain it, but practicing it will help you understand how it feels. The key thing is to manually press 2 buttons to FD, and to FD like you're cancelling the air dash with FD.
@@XenoAme i have also seen that definition of FD brake. i wasn’t sure if they were interchangeable tbh. anyway, from what it sounds like, this seems like a pretty niche concept and since the safejumps in this video all work without using FD i think i’ll just ignore the whole FD thing for now lol. i’m still pretty new to the character (and inexperienced with the game) so i’m just gonna focus on making sure i know how to properly control my movement with NM ABA and continue working on my combo routing. i’m still low-ranked right now so i think the safejumps in this video should keep me covered. still, thank you for the reply. it was very helpful and i’ll definitely keep it in mind for the future, especially if i want to play sin again. your videos have really helped me to better understand the methodology of this character.
The throw should only come out if they do a DP. If they're doing a DP but your grab is whiffing you might not be doing forward fast RC. If you're doing all that and its still whiffing, tell me what character you're testing vs and are they doing stand FD
If the jS is whiffing entirely theres 3 things that could be going wrong 1) Youre not walking before jumping up, this will have the opp kd'd while ur jS whiffs 2) jD isnt being whiffed asap in the air, here jS will hit the floor and not become active, having your opp standing but not blocking anything 3) The iadb is too slow and youre air dashing back too low to the ground for jS to have time to activate, this one can be visually checked but the opp will be standing again without having to block If the jS isnt safejumping the issue is with the amount youre walking before jumping. If none of this is the problem lmk and I'll try to help best I can, good luck!

is there any advantage to doing this whiff jd safejump off throw at 6:45 vs doing otg cs into js? seems easier and gives you a fuzzy after no?

I try to do the normal 5k whiff safejump and i always get the "manual dely crossup" any tips?

In the video at 14:42 how do you get the grab to connect because after the fuzzy key grab for me I whiff the grab. Nice video btw I needed this 👍🏾
