This is an intense season, you needed like 2 years break like the rest of us.😁 Note: Rank does not equal power, rank equals power + availability + cooperation + nr of missions completed. The public just thinks King does not do usual missions whenever called upon, just the very difficult ones every other month or so, whenever he feels like it - turning down most missions, that's why they think he's the strongest man in the world in spite of his rank.
I'm surprised you didn't figure out fully King's reputation. Do you remember back when Munen Rider got credit for defeating the power armor guys that didn't want to work even though they were taken out by Sonic and their leader, Hammerhead, by Saitama? That's what's happening with King. He continuously finds himself amidst battles between Saitama and dragon and demon level threats and the media attributes the monster defeats to King rather than a nobody like Saitama. There's a theory that monsters are drawn to King like bees to pollen and Saitama just engages with those monsters so the two are always in the same area. The media reports that King's on the scene therefore he must be responsible for the victory. Additionally, being a hero is a paid job, so King's been getting checks from the Hero Association for years. That pays for a lot of dating sims and visual novels.
yes definitely remember now. It had been a bit of time between us watching season 1 and 2 so we might have forgotten a little bit of details. Thank you for the context, it's always helpful!
Consider that King has probably been attacked by a few powerful monsters every day for the past few years and the only scratch on him is from immediately before he first met Saitama. Maybe more is going on with him than it seems.
19:44 Theoretically, the Cyborg story could be an implemented memory put there by the kinda suspicous Dr. Kuseno that created Genoses Body Modification. Or Genos could have been the mad Cyborg all along, and he has to find out his memory is wrong, that he was never a real Human, just Kusenos lab rat. Its without any backing, of course, but Kuseno seems fishy and Genos backstory way too convenient...
@@tobototoki Its my own little theory... may the coming manga chapters prove me wrong... or right. As far as i know, that topic is a black box for now, but i havent read the new mangas or the original webcomic thats even further ahead for around two years. Maybe it was just confirmed, who knows? ^^
Not really. I never noticed (because of how immersed in the story and action I was) until I started watching reactions and read comments like this). I think it's better to NOT point it out and make people unnecessarily aware of it unless they notice it themselves. Not everyone does notice things like that. In fact they said the quality seems to have gone up (3:46)!
@@WoofDawgmann I think I know better what exactly I should point out or not especially if the new animation worse that previously from 2015. If things are bad, I would tell that they are bad.
King was basically taking credit for Saitamas actions.

hahaha I'm sorry you had to wait so long! And thank you for the context on King - always helpful!
No OVA's? those are fun and actually adds to the story if not absolutely important to watch in OPM.
we haven't watched them yet! But we are definitely planning to. Just have not decided yet if we should react and post with our bandwidth right now.
There is a story that you'll see start to develop in this season.
yes we've heard!

They showed King in the area of Vaccine Man in the first 15 seconds of the first episode of the series.

I forget where it was mentioned (I thought somewhere in S1) that Rank also factors in the popularity of the hero.
Can't wait for their reaction to the next episode and their introduction to *that* character
Another great reaction as always 🔥 Can't wait for you guys to see the rest of the season
We are so pumped!!
2:40 No, Genos is simply the Pope of the Catholic Saitama Church.
favorite comment 😂
