We fostered over 30 children before hanging up our license. Its not for the faint of heart. It is challenging and the system is flawed in ways you will never have imagined. Good luck to you both.
I can't imagine anyone more perfectly suited for foster parenting than you two! With as much love and joy as you have to give, any child placed in your care will be fortunate indeed. I'm so excited over your new adventure, and pray the Lord's blessing on you as parents and on each child whose life is influenced by you.
I’m so happy for you and I know you can do this! I have CF and CFRD. I have 12 month old twins and a 6 year old. My husband works long hours and I stay home with the kids now (I was a lab tech before I had my twins.) Being a stay at home mom is the hardest job (especially with CF) but it’s also rewarding. CF makes us stronger in many ways! Thank you for sharing what you can!
How absolutely wonderful !! I'm so happy for your precious family. I was a foster baby for my first 2 months of life before being placed in my forever home and officially adopted. This little sweetie is so lucky to have you !
I was a foster child multiple times..I do like the idea of meeting and seeing how that goes..As a child I was just thrown with families and it was so scary...I thankfully had my twin(they don't separate twins) but losing my mom, dad and siblings was traumatizing for those periods of times

We have fostered 10 children and adopted 6. It’s a journey. Good luck to you all! Our license is closed and will stay that way (6 is enough!). It’s very hard. But, much needed. And you guys will be wonderful at this I’m sure!
Foster care is the hardest most heartbreaking most wonderful thing. Your hearts will fill with love then shatter when they leave. It is a wonderful journey you will never forget. Just know when the nights are long and the days are hard, God only calls his strongest soldiers for this job. Be patient as the new one will require lots of attention. Be patient as Elijah will get jealous. God be with you on this journey of helping the least of these young sweet soles. God bless.
Its wonderful that you and Peter are fostering. I was placed in a foster home at a very young age, and I was blessed with 2 loving foster parents. So many children in need that fall through the cracks. Its great that you opened your home and hearts to children in need . It will be hard when you have to give them back, but it will be worth all the joy you will also experience. Stay blessed 💜.

Oh my goodnesss!!! We went from a family of five to a family of seven, seven months ago. The last seven months have NOT been easy, but, they have been amazing. It has bee so easy to fall in love with our two heart girls. Our daughter's had been separated and we were able to reunite them. Now we have two that are 16, a 15, a 14 and a 10 year old. Get ready for life to become even crazier but better.
The little babies that come into your care will be so blessed & loved! I was adopted as a newborn with my twin sister, and grew up with a fostered sister.

Catching up on your last few videos this evening after getting my foster love to sleep. I am so excited for y’all to begin this journey. It’s been such a life changing experience for me (and more so as I move toward my first placement reunifying). I was also wondering at the beginning of the video why y’all still had a bucket seat installed in your car with Elijah being almost 18 months old. Praying for y’all as you welcome little sweetie into your hearts and home.
It may be hard to foster a child/children in a home that shares so much if it's life online. You were lucky with your adoption that it was open, and you were allowed to show Elijah's as soon as you did. Most people will understand why that is the rule but others can be difficult about why you wont. As wonderful as foster parenting can be when you are stepping in to fill in that gap when a parent cannot and provide love and security, bonds and stability, it can also be hard on you when the time may come when a foster child has to move on. So much more foster care these days are a bridge to reunification with a parent or if that is not going to happen it can simply be a holding placement pending moving on to adoptive parents, letting go can be a lot of grief to deal with. It can also be extremely hard on young children of your own who may have no ability to understand why a foster sibling comes abd then goes. We actually suspended our license after our youngest really struggled when the foster baby moved on, expecting the same would also happen to her. She eventually came to understand with lots of play therapy and simply aging to the point where she understood there was a difference between her being a permanent family member and what it meant to be a foster child, and foster siblings were not meant to stay while she always would.
Mary are you not home by yourself now that Peter is working full time outside of the home? Are you ok to do this by yourself? I will pray for all of you

@@nancyfarkas3592 I wish people get their life together or accept they can't be a parent and just place their kid up for adoption or like what I went through have cps actually needs to stop taken kids under false claims and investigate better lucky for me they found nothing wrong but it's just ridiculous. We still have parents out there that shouldn't be parents that are birthing these kids and not choosing better from right from the gecko or have a program to help mom's b4 hand so they can keep kids with out having drug issues or something but like I said I feel like this should not be a thing it should be better way to fix this issue so so many kids don't end up in foster care or get more foster parents because there so many kids waiting for placement because their go many

Mary, I'm sooo happy you have the health & stability to fulfil this dream. You will both make awesome foster parents. I do have one question, though. Will you be doing long-term or short-term placements?
Congratulations on being able to do this big next step and hallelujah how amazing is the Lord for nurturing this dream and desire in your heart and knowing full well what he was about to do in your life's even if it look so different than you expected! I can't wait for what you can share about this new chapter and welcome to the Frey Life to all the (little) life's you will touch, seen on video or not. You are in my prayers!
This is so amazing. I've been here for year's and look at everything now. Mary you are so healthy and happy! This is such a wonderful dream that's come to life💗
we used to do the same animal sounds songs with my boy. We would do all the regulars and when i would ask "what does the deer say?" He would say "nothing!"
I’m so excited for your family and for this precious sweetie! How lucky you all are! Mary what an amazing journey and your story is so full of hope and never give up on your dreams!! Praying for you from one foster mom/ adoptive mom to another!
It's is all in God's timing. Our plan may not always line exactly with his but he always brings us to where we need to be in time ❤❤ being a foster mom has taught me this even more. Being a foster parent has been one of the hardest things I have ever done. So much heart break, unknown, trauma. But it is one of the most rewarding things we have ever done. And out of it I have been blessed to adopt and be called mom by my beautiful daughter. And now by 2 more kiddos soon. And we have helped over 30 other kiddos and their families reunite back together and be part of their journeys ❤❤ I wish you the best of luck on this new adventure
Im sure many of us reading and witnessing this are crying in shock And disbelief of changes and miracles that the lord above is bringing To this family in front of our eyes and in front of camera on the series.
9:14 older people do a similar thing. The 90 year old doesn't want to sit with the old people, or they help out the old person who is actually younger ❤❤
We waited 15 years before the Lord said it was time for us to become foster parents. We cannot biologically have our own children due my chronic health problems but we can love on kiddos who need it most. We just had a sibling set of a 3 year old boy and his 6 year old sister for 10 months who reintegrated back with a family member two weeks ago. It was a long 10 months of one behavioral problem after another with the older child and then the younger one being diagnosed with autism. We are now taking a several month break to rejuvenate and then are jumping back into it as respite providers on weekends. I’m so excited to hear that you two are opening up your hearts and home yet again! My prayers and thoughts are with you!
“Why is foster care a hard form of parenting? Uncertainty, inconsistencies, lack of control, politics, and misinformation…. The stressors pile up seemingly exponentially. Indeed, the most frequently cited reason foster parents stop fostering is because they are too overwhelmed with DCF shortcomings and bureaucracy to continue.”
I can’t imagine a safer or more loving environment for a child 😭🩷 they’re so lucky
I sure on the wishlist was plans for another child joining elijah..

We still have parents out there that shouldn't be parents that are birthing these kids and not choosing better from right from the gecko or have a program to help mom's b4 hand so they can keep kids with out having drug issues or something but like I said I feel like this should not be a thing it should be better way to fix this issue so so many kids don't end up in foster care or get more foster parents because there so many kids waiting for placement because their go many
@@nancyfarkas3592 most of the time cps doesn't want to put kids with family because of allegations against the parents they don't want the kids In Harm's Way where the parents can come over very easily
You can show the foster child, but you can put a big 😀 over the face during editing
I am so excited for your growing family! I appreciate your carefulness with your blogging. What an amazing blessing for all!❤
Congratulations on your new journey as foster parents. God is shining on you and your family.
Mary, I'm sooo happy you have the health & stability to fulfil this dream. You will both make awesome foster parents. I do have one question, though. Will you be doing long-term or short-term placements?
How wonderful!
You are in my prayers!

we used to do the same animal sounds songs with my boy.
Hi dear 👋 I’m Michele Raymond, nice to meet you 😊
I’m so excited for you guys…. Much love❤❤❤❤
Im sure many of us reading and witnessing this are crying in shock
And disbelief of changes and miracles that the lord above is bringing
To this family in front of our eyes and in front of camera on the series.
Cassie, thank you for loving more than 30 children who needed you!!
Bless you bless you bless you! Foster parents! You have so much love to give and just are not afraid to trust in your love and the Lord.
I'm so happy for your family prayers
Wonderful to hear this, huge blessings for everyone
Congrats!
You both will be great foster parents
Elijah will be a proud child to welcome a brother or sister..
What a clever baby
9:14 older people do a similar thing. The 90 year old doesn't want to sit with the old people, or they help out the old person who is actually younger ❤❤
Very sweet people. Enjoy the journey..
Hi dear 👋 I’m Michele Raymond, nice to meet you 😊
congratulations on your newest journey you both will make great foster parents
You both have some much love to give God bless Elijah is such a cute & happy little boy ❤
Boy…I miss a couple weeks and I miss two huge life changing events in your life! I gotta catch up.
Congratulations you guys!
Such wonderful news ☺️🩷
Yaaaayyy! Congratttsss!!!!
They need more people who have golden hearts such as you! You two are most definitely angels wrapped in flesh! ❣️
Congratulations the Frey life 😀
“Why is foster care a hard form of parenting?
Uncertainty, inconsistencies, lack of control, politics, and misinformation…. The stressors pile up seemingly exponentially. Indeed, the most frequently cited reason foster parents stop fostering is because they are too overwhelmed with DCF shortcomings and bureaucracy to continue.”
Wow! Amazing news!
Hi dear 👋 I’m Michele Raymond, nice to meet you 😊
There's so much love in your hearts. You will make great foster parents 😅 God bless.
