As a Premier Host on VRBO for many years my motto is keep it all simple. I clean myself now because its less work and hassle than using crews. We added laundry to the rental, only Queen beds, walk in shower. We removed the tub. Im 68, no tubs! My cleaning arsenal is simple and fits in the mop bucket, home made cleaning liquid is cheap (dawn, vinegar, water) diluted depending on the task. I use commercial toilet, oven, stainless sink cleaners, white rags to bleach them. The toilet is cleaned with disinfecting wipes, paper towels and a toilet bowl cleaner. In the entry/mud room I hung a Pinterest worthy rack outfitted with wood / natural fiber dusters, brooms and dustpan and leave out a powerful stick vac. I supply disinfectant wipes and hand sanitizer. Most guests will clean surprisingly well using those cute tools which makes work easier for me! 😉 I clean everything anyway but its lighter work. Rugs in high traffic areas knock dirt off before entering the main house. My checkout instructions include wiping spills from surfaces, oven and fridge. I strip beds to inspect the sheets for damage or stains while flat. I supply only white linens I can bleach. A clean home has no smell. The best guest reviews to me include the words “very clean”, comfortable , great location, well decorated and had everything we needed. 😊 I spend less time than I did having a housekeeper in the other rental and I pay myself $30/hr as opposed to paying that out. Cleaning by myself guided me in renovating the current rental to make it more efficient. I have no supply closet. Rather just buckets in the locked garage. I also keep very few extra supplies. I watch for supplies getting low and refill when I shop during the week. Lucky for us a Dollar General is 5 minutes on the way to clean. Maintaining schedules, binders, a supply closet and a crew was more work than cleaning myself. 😊

Great video but 2 things worth mentioning...
    1. Vinegar is a great cleaner but it is NOT a disinfectant. Also, it should be mixed with water 50\50 to avoid the vinegar leaving stains.
    2. The oxi stain remover that you showed is fantasticbut can be pricey. Totally Awesome Laundry Pre-wash spray from the dollar tree does the exact same thing, sometimes better.
Just adding to the great tolips here! Thx for the vid!

Yes! We use the h2o/vinegar mixture for basic cleaning and dusting but a specific disinfectant to kill viruses, glad someone else loves the specifics of cleaning as well :)

Awesome! You’re set up for success. You have two engines that share parts with each other. 1. cleaning business. 2. Short term rentals. Those two engines can break down into different models, but they are built off that original platform. The cleaning engine can offer different services. And the rental engine can create different experiences. Allowing you to scale easily without spreading too thin. There’s a video on Mr. Wonderful’s channel (Kevin o’Leary). Where he explains how he used your model to become a billionaire.

Your video will certainly be helpful to anyone who runs an AirBnB. Your organizational and planning skills are wonderful. The notebook you compiled with photographs of each room will be valuable if any questions ever arise regarding what items might be in a room and what items might (heaven forbid) have been "taken" by a guest. Please accept my best wishes for continued success.

So I made a video only about my new method with sheet differentiating

amzn.to/3wIhQNG this is the link to the shower mop/brush. I ordered about three of them i always have extra refills. It’s really nice because it comes with changeable heads, so one is a brush for any stubborn soap scum, and the other one is a microfiber type sponge. I know that you can also buy one from Walmart that has a long sponge and brush on the other end which I also have so I change between both - saves so much time and backache either one you go with !!

Jesus Lawd. I have just listed my two bed apartment I have literally none of this. What am I going to do !!! For God so loved the world look at all of this!!! How can I get this. My funds and resources are low. Perhaps I will have to improvise and struggle for the first one and then use that money to tool up like this. What do you think? I am also super nervous about the flexible cancellation setting but it's like if I take it off will that mean I will go to the back of the line. I am in England Europe. I listed yesterday and have heard nothing so far. How long did it take you to get your first booking. Mine is next to the 2022 commonwealth games opening and closing ceremony but as a result loads of spaces popping up round here. I'm thinking to go on VRBO straight away aswell to increase my chances since the games are only 12 days away. Have put alot of effort in so far into trying to research what to do and dress the space and have given it my best but Damn sis. What an inspiration. I am trying to provide a unique experience where all the little touches are added like ribbon around towels so the guest knows effort was taken to have it prepared just for them but there's no cleaning company that will be able to do all the extra touch stuff that I have in mind so I will likely have to find and train my own and then start from there so really looking for the video on how you started that to come out. This is not a walk in the park I can see. I am creative and have lots of ideas for making things to help the world and to make experiences special in terms of all the things the guest (preferably families) can get up to whilst at the space but the operations side looks serious. This won't be a creative launch and switch I can tell. I have an inventor mind but am just starting out from zero. Because of all the ideas I have I hoped to set up something and then have it run and then switch to solve the next world problem but Dang this ain't that. I'm gonna have to double down, lock in and sink my whole self into this and let all those other ideas hold on a sec. This is a problem for me because instead of starting with one thing and then coming up with the next I instead had like 8 things and then would move each one along so everything is at a level together. Problem is that I am now a junction. Turning to one of them will mean letting the rest of them and the people that I have brought to a point in those things go hanging. Right now I'm like ananse the spider that sent out his web to different dinner invitations to tug on the web when the food was ready. Now all the webs are tugging at the same time and I could suffer the same fate as ananse basically getting twisted out of shape.
Wow I wrote alot please help
