I got to paint with Fabio Cembranelli! A Demo & an Interview

- Fabio Cembranelli is known for his beautiful intuitive watercolor style. He teaches watercolor in workshops all over the world, as well as online, and I was so delighted to have the opportunity to observe his technique and learn from him in a workshop in my home area of northwestern Canada.
@fabiocembranelli teaches with such generosity. Not only did he demonstrate any subject we requested, especially the florals and architecture he is known for, but he offered student critiques and guidance that was so beneficial for the wide range of artists who participated in the class.
So often Fabio echoed my own philosophy for creating paintings, trusting in the process, letting go of expectations so you can focus on how the painting is evolving and allowing yourself to start over and try again! Fabio's techniques of working with a variety of synthetic brushes was new to me, and I learned so much by watching and listening to his demonstrations.
Fabio offers weekly demonstrations here his UA-cam channel: @fabiocembranelli and courses on his web site (as well as his in-person workshops): www.fabiocembranelli.com/
Thanks for watching! - Angela
left handed artists are special!!!!
Thanks so much Angela, for sharing Fabio with us. Love his technique, his work is beautiful and he too is easy on the eyes!
He fascinates me. So fast and loose and always winds up with a masterpiece

I'm watching this afternoon the Bootcamp today, with Angela. My looking and seeing have been enhanced by the worship! 💕
It is so generous to both of you, thank you very much. Fabio, it is so interessing when you explain what you do. To see you when you are painting is not enough for me, I need to hear what you do and why. Thank you Angela for this great moment !
So excited that you were able to meet and paint with Fabio. I did an online class with him 3/20😄21. You both are so generous and knowledgeable in terms of "how" to teach students. I love this!
Thank you Fabio. The difference with your studio's vidéos is that you feel more emotional because we see you and not only your fingers doing magic.
That was a fantastic workshop! Fabio is an amazing painter. It's great to have this mini-refresher! Thanks, Angela.
Thanks to Fabio and Angela. I saw many Fabio's demo , always surprising, but never so long and so intuitive. I felt that he knows many aspects the state of paper and the humidity to do an Coloring
What an amazing opportunity to learn from and then interview him! He paints some stunning pieces! I don't think I can comprehend how you both know where to put the paints and where to lift the color. I love watching you both create!
This was an amazing opportunity to watch a master at work. Every time Fabio put a little flick of color on the side of the paper, I was so curious what it would become. Thank you, Angela, for sharing this with us.
I can see he doesn’t use staining colours which was a big thing a hadn’t learned . So amazing and delicate.
Thank you, I have followed Fabio on UA-cam for a while and it was so interesting to watch your interview with him Angela. The years of experience you both have in watercolour shows in the beautiful work you create. I am only two and half years in and still trying to find myself. But I love watercolour and so glad to have found it in my retirement.
Great and inspirational but it's mean that flowers are INSIDE and really well known by Fabio. Thank you again
Yay! I'm so glad you got to spend time with Fabio Cembranelli! I really enjoy his work as well as yours!
I just love watching his hands “dance” so gracefully around the painting.
Oh my gosh, he's been one of my favorite forever, how amazing to get to work with him. I have so many questions I want to ask of you both that it's embarrassing. Thank you so much for sharing.
A real treasure of a video. Thank you Angela. Please share your paintings from this experience.
Thanks for sharing Fabio's demo. Brilliant watching the flower grow and express beautiful results.
Fabio is one of my favourite artists. I was scheduled to take an in-person workshop with him and then covid hit! So disappointing, but hopefully, he will come to my area at some point.

Interesting, Angela, you’ve clearly found someone who shares some of your stylistic manner!
I hope he gave you the painting. 🥰
This was wonderful Angela! Thank you for sharing your workshop experience and to Fabio for his generousity in making this video! I suscribe to Fabio's You Tube channel but as yet haven't had time to look at many of his videos - that's going to change, I will now make time!
he mentions carving...almost like a sculptor!
I was surprised by your terms Composition because when artist talk about it, they do a prior sketch . Or hear it's more near than Cozen or Da Vinci cloud's technique.

I thought I was going to see your finished painting :(
he doesn't even tape his paper down. Was it 300 lb?
