Very impressed with your work and your enthusiasm, and I really like how you're repairing the bus rather than rebuilding it - keeping it as an authentic working machine with its character and history intact. More importantly best wishes for a speedy recovery from your own knocks and scrapes!
I dropped into scone when this decker was on its way south and stayed overnight and looked over it . Was like a time capsule.. remarkable vehicle.. great to see it getting some loving .
Cleaned a kettle once that was full of scale… looked fantastic when I’d finished, except leaked like a sieve. Turned out the scale was keeping it watertight.! Love the work on the Atlantean.
My first bus I drove was a Atlantean for Kings Kempsey after they acquired Argents of Kempsey we had about 9 of them then we went to the Leyland Nationals which were also a great bus
Live near the ex Gardner Engine factory in Eccles. From the videos it was a happy slap dash. But serious engineering affair. Most Manc buses had the Gardner 6LX. Ubiquitous. The TL11 was noisy but GMPTE had to trial em.
Black steering boss badge looks the best to me. Besides, it's used appearance is a good fit for the bus. Alternatively you can go for no badge at all with exposed castellated nut look government buses often sported anyway.
Wow the difference downstairs is sensational. Well done Steve and give your shoulder a rest!

Downstairs is looking really good Steve, cream steering wheel centre would look great in the cab well done & looking forward to the next video 🚌
thankyou, it is getting there! I have already started on the next video- this one involves stairs

Hi guys there was a comment here that I accidentally removed! About the horn button I think. Apologies if it was yours. Feel free to re-comment :)
Gotta admit my favourite bodied ATL body was the Merseyside Alexander style. Bombardier in Ireland looks more Sydney style.
Nice work Steve! Jason Yerk still lives in Cundletown :)
Mark S. Mark Saddler……
Haha that’s awesome. I’ll have to invite him to see the bus when I get it to Taree!!
I think the aluminium one and keep it original but I like the blue one would look nice
it's a tough decision!
you cued do video on history of the bus
you cued use fiery liquid
Did you consdier upgrading to H4 light bulbs in new lenses for better vision at night?
Hi mate- I did that with 1128, but wanted to keep this one as close to original as possible. It probably won't get driven much at night!
