My favorite use so far for this lens has been capturing aquatic life. I used to work at Aquarium and pressing it up to the glass makes for very interesting depth shots with 1.4 and proper color grading with no need for cpl filter when shooting against glass plane.

Thank you for asking! I recorded with a7s3, because i can demonstrate the sigma lens and camera while talking, but it's a overkill, you don't need that much power for vlogging or streaming. I could recommend this, but you'll need a capture card if you would like to stream with the a6400. I don't recommend the a7s3 for streaming. I recommend the zv-e10 or the a6400 if you start streaming. With the kit lens it's good enough, but if you would like to blur a little bit the background you can go for the sigma 16mm f1.4.

i love the video! would you recommend using the 16mm, 30mm and 56mm sigma apsc lenses? i currently have the 56 and am definitely interested in at least the 30 for ease of shooting in certain situations i also want the 16 out of sheer capitalistic greed, but i have justified it thinking it would be helpful in areas such as concert halls. i'd love to hear any of your thoughts.
The sigma trio represents a great value in the market. I love these lenses. It depends on what you're shooting, but I think if you already have a 56mm, I'd recommend the 16mm f1.4 over the 30mm because the 56 and the 16 are much bigger it covers a range like the 30 and 56. But if you want to shoot indoors, I think the sigma 16mm is not wide enough, at least for me. All in all, I would choose the 16 mm if I were you. Thank you for asking🙏 have a nice day
You can use it on sony full frame, but you have a little vignette on the corners. But if you have a7IV or a7III which has crop mode, then you can use like normal APSC lens.

I use nanlite pavotube 30X. I thought that I need the bigger one, but i was wrong. I would have done better with the smaller ones, because that was so expensive and I don't need that long light source, hard to carry, you need to buy bigger stands to be able to place it etc.. So overall I recommend the smaller one: nanlite pavotube 15X or 15C. Or if you want a budget RGB light you can check the Yongnou YN360 Working with cheap sony NPF batteries. I thought to get the long ones automatically so they come out more on the shot. But I can just get 2 15c for the price of one and put them on a stand when I want them to come out in my background. I’m buying this lens , do you use 67mm thread vnd with it ? I’m worried because it’s a wide lens that I’ve heard people say to maybe get a 77mm thread and a step up ring , have you experienced anything like this ?
Thank you for asking. I use 77mm vnd with step up rings from amazon. With 16mm you'll notice some vignette anyway, but with the 77mm vnd it's not that noticable. I think if you buy a bigger filter it's better. You can use with other lenses too. I use this filter with my a6400 and sigma 16mm. I'm brand new to cameras and just picked up the ZVE10 for real estate videos, traveling and to capture my new daughter's baby years. The camera came w/ this kit lens and the Sigma 16mm. Can someone tell me when I would want to use one over the other? Should I bring both with me on vacation, or just the kit lens?
I think the sigma overall is a much better lens, yup it's a prime lens, so it's not as versatile as the zoom lens, but the kit lens has some drawbacks. I don't like to shoot with it.. I think it's not a "Fun" lens. You have to adjust a lot if you zoom in and out. It's a hard question, but If I have to pick one lens for my vacation, it will be the sigma. That 16mm focal lens is versatile, good in low light, the image quality and bokeh looks so good. But..but if the compact factor is a must, I think I would pick the kit lens, you can put the camera into your pocket and you don't need a camera bag. So my friend if the compactness is not a problem, I would pick the sigma. If you 're new with the 16mm focal length, I made a short guide video which can help you with this focal length. Nope. I meant some sensors are better in low light, some sensors worse. And your camera settings could be a problem in low light. If you shoot underexposed, the image looks so grainy.
