What is causing it ???? Scientists need to figure it out now,,,,there’s way to many now than when I was a kid

It's probably about 50/50 scientists that are truly concerned. The other 50% are protecting corporate interests. Of course this is just a guess on my part. But I'm old enough to remember when autism wasn't a thing. Something has increased the rate exponentially. Now we just have to ask ourselves what is different now than was 50 years ago. The food that we eat, the vaccines have increased, electronic devices have increased , environmental toxins. Maybe there's some that you can think of but I'm not thinking of. It's obvious that human beings have done something to increase this.

Do you have any guesses that might be causing this?

@@jackmewhalle6937from what i have been reading from the last 7 months i think its a combination of alot of @&£) happening in the world such as polution, animals fed hormones, technology, emf (its off the hook nowadays), water and foods loaded with metals, lack of interaction with parents due to massively increase in work hours to survive, covid isolation (thats a big one) and covid itself shows changes in some childrenbin terms of neuro behaviour, it seems some children affected badly, the virus can change the structure of the brain same way as zika virus, and the lost goes on. Strangely some are affected some arent. Its still a big mistery but make no mistake something is behind this.

I think back in those days, autism was underreported.

@@Tootle5 i think there is alot more we arent aware off…its not only the underreported…there are alot of things nowadays that proven to interfer with children development such as emf, food polution, air polition, new viruses, more technology to name a few. Me personally i have researched non stop for 8 months now and i think its a combination of several of these things.

I disagree with the theory that Autism is higher now as we are more aware of it. Years ago we were very aware if a child showed signs of behaviour we knew was not the usual or normal behaviour of a child. We didn't have as many children with learning and speech difficulties or with social isolation issues as the children today. I believe it's a combination of things that's causing the increase of autism today. First in the womb the fetus is not receiving the same healthy nutrients of years past when our diet was more organic and high in iron. Women are too worried about putting on weight in pregnancy these days depriving the unborn child of essential nutrients, fatty acids and protein. Second people today smoke drugs in pregnancy than previously damaging the brain of the unborn child. Environment is more polluted and too much electric devices being used by pregnant women today. Children are not getting the same level of love attention and interaction as previously as working mothers have no choice but leave their babies with strangers in nursery. Autism could also be caused by combining the vaccines instead of giving them separately as before. I am worried about the future of our world when we have a world full of vulnerable autistic people who needs care. Who do we rely on to manage world affairs. It's very sad.

Being a sensitive subject, we do not talk about it, but we need to face reality. This is not the evolution of the human race

My nephew is autistic and was non-verbal. But working with a speech therapist that specializes with non-verbal artistic he now can talk. His speech development is not normal but we hope with time it will come close to normal.
