DD you should vlog more often! It is very entertaining to watch. The stuff that comes out sometimes is comedy gold. "You're so old,you shouldn't be driving....!". Cracked me up! 😂😂😂
I crashed an old R6 on a roundabout at about 50-60mph. It had sliders on, and they did an awesome job. Fairing was barely touched.....unfortunatly they did catch a curb on the way resulting in the bolt snapping the frame mount clean off and a chunk of the motor. Instant write off. I do have them on the Speed though.
For me, the answer is... sometimes. For low speed crashes in carparks or you leave your disclock on - definitely. Regular riding speed town crashes... most of the time. Faster speeds or on track its luck of the draw. Out of my crashes on track with the R6, they were more useful than not on most occasions. On one occasion, they flipped the bike but all the others they were very beneficial. Most crashes are doing to be dumbarse little mistakes, I'd rather fit them than not.
Nice one D......I keep saying gotta get some bungs for the bike then I forget but maybe I'm tempting fate after watching this think I should order them now......ride safe...
I have the full set on my Sprint 1050, bar ends, axles, sides. Some c**t nicked one of my bar ends last year while it was parked in bike area of a multi-storey car park. I reckon if you crash at 100+mph unless on a track it is going to be terminal for both you and your bike. There is so much road furniture to hit as well as other vehicles. Maybe you take some one or two with you.
Check out T-rex sliders. They make a handsome set of sliders for the Speedie! They also have a black/red Single Swingarm Slider that would look bitchin' on your Speedie! 🤙
Dubble D hi Man thank you for your sharing ! Shit it’s forbidden in France to have it on the Road ! I choosed the MIVV Suono which have homologuation on the road 😇
Dubble D it's wierd how I can't find any on mine on the rgb website... Mine is a 2017 model too. Are you able to let me know arrow exhuast you have on your bike please.
Have them all on mine, cheap engine ones but r&g front and rear wheels. I think there's a good chance they would dig in but my thinking always been of I come off fast enough to flip the bike it doesn't matter as it's going to be fucked up anyway.
I've dropped my FZ1 twice although tbh at very low speeds the rear spool (when dropped on the non exhaust side), bar ends and the engine bars took the most impact, the fork protectors never touched the ground. I'm pretty sure most of the stuff paid for it self already
Thanks buddy. I actually send you that question from my friends youtube account as he has no clue about bikes. My name is Romano Sparks and I appreciate you actually taking the time to reply back. I have a 2014 street triple and will be on vacation from Sunday. So I actually love what you did to your bike so wanna do something exactly like that to mine. And I am subscribed to your youtube channel and I follow you on instagram. Great pics and videos buddy!
I think crash protecters help a lot for low speed drops.. you crash at a speed fast enough for them to flip the bike.. bike damage is gonna the least of your problems... don’t really see a downside Also are you gonna test ride the Speed RS 2018? Would really like your opinion on the 2016 vs 2018..
Edwin Vazquez I don’t get the point of your comment? I’d assume you’re going along the lines of “you’re judging other riders, but you’ve come off twice yourself”. With that you’ve taken what I’ve said in the video completely out of context. Also just because I’ve come off twice doesn’t mean I have no idea what I’m doing, especially as you don’t even know how I’ve come off (I’m sure you could go and watch the videos to find out now I’ve mentioned it) I’d go as far as to say you probably don’t have much experience or even a bike or you wouldn’t of left such a comment...
I could listen to that engine sound all day long

Dmitri Felbinger I’m trying to get one out a week, just difficult with life, etc. Thanks though bud ✌🏼
Ooohhh Man you gave me an idea to do on my bike !! Love it !! It's not a protection, I just saw you in your eyes !!!
Hey do you know what this upgrade is called I would like to do it too
"you're soo old, you shouldn't be drivin" i laughed way more than i should've lol
Nice attitude and a Triumph rider, subed. Well done bro, greetz from Cali

Wil Collins yeah was saying to someone else only exceptional circumstances would make them more harm than good - I’d say your off was exceptional! 😂
I know someone who raced a 675 Daytona. They had a reputation of snapping the frames on those bikes, so he never used them.

Whats the constant green light on the dash? Ive got some fork sliders, and the triumph frame sliders (look good, but will do fuck all) ahaha.
StreetTripleSam daytime running lights
In the USA we call them Sliders and they have saved me from many a hefty repair bill.
Martin Sage we call them sliders too, but just to keep it more generic... they’re well worth the money IMO
Nice one D......I keep saying gotta get some bungs for the bike then I forget but maybe I'm tempting fate after watching this think I should order them now......ride safe...
Gabriel Scott I said I’d get them after my holiday, then crashed the day before I went... 😂✌🏼
Dubble D man what a nightmare that's my kind of luck.....but did you enjoy the holiday....
Gabriel Scott of course!

MotorMoonie might have a look at the swing arm slider, nice one
What is your exhaust man ? I like a lot the sound !! is it the original exhaust ?
Fury In The City it’s called an M4 GP
Dubble D hi Man thank you for your sharing ! Shit it’s forbidden in France to have it on the Road ! I choosed the MIVV Suono which have homologuation on the road 😇
GB racing make some good engine covers ! But not sure if they make them for the Speed Triple...
Guillaume Combe I’ve seen their stuff actually, looks pretty good
Nice vid. 👍
How did you crash?
MrJackk10 to save me a tonne of typing - there’s a video for each one 👍🏼
Just put them on my SuperDuke, the Evotech stuff is not cheap!
You always rip that M25 exit 😲
Jim 86 it’s my favourite 😊
Jim 86 it’s my favourite 😊
Yes.
What year model is your bike? My Speed Triple R has only the crash nodes :( and nothing else.
Katekyo Hitman it’s a 2017 model
Dubble D it's wierd how I can't find any on mine on the rgb website... Mine is a 2017 model too. Are you able to let me know arrow exhuast you have on your bike please.
Katekyo Hitman it’s the same ones to fit a 2012 model. It’s not an Arrow, it’s an M4 GP
Just ordered crash bars for my 765 RS
COmotoRX good man

Cornish_ Boy yeah, my thoughts are it’s got to be exceptional circumstances for the bike to flip because of a crash bung

Bikers Quest fell the same bud, my fork protectors didn’t touch either 😂
Hey Buddy, How did you do the red cover on the aluminum bit at the lights?
Willie Mutele it’s actually plastic, just used a red wrap, was not easy!!!

Willie Mutele no problem mate, glad you enjoy them ✌🏼

District Six I will be very soon, just been a tad busy with life - it’s coming though!
crash videos will convince everyone ;)
Robstar I’m sure there’ll be one at some point...
@@DaytonaDays maximising risk maximises pleasure ;)
I am in the club and it feels great RS baby 🏍🇬🇧👍
Mate why didn’t you get the crash protector from Triumph ?
Paul Sutton prefer the look of the R&G one - the ones for the Daytona from Triumph looked the bollocks though
I get it but they look kinda goofy.
Smeg somethingorother they actually blend in, you just notice them at first because they’re a bolt on as such...
“The panigale , dainese leathers ,All the gear and no idea”
“Ive crashed twice “
🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
Edwin Vazquez your point...?
Bruv youve wrecked twice dont hate on other riders... that being said i just thought that was funny
