- Newly released video shows Joan Meyer, a 98-year-old co-owner of a local paper in Kansas, confronting police officers who were searching her home. Meyer died the day after the search. The police said they searched the home investigating "identity theft," but a prosecutor later withdrew the search warrant. The Kansas Bureau of Investigation is investigating the incident.

This woman lived for 98 years and I’m sure has been through a lot in all those years. She didn’t deserve to have her last day on earth be filled with the deep stress of 7 officers rummaging through her home. Her heart couldn’t take the overload.

Died suddenly the day after the raid. 🧐 🤔 I've seen a cop on video tell a young girl he could have her arrested for standing up to them. Next day she was murdered horribly in her home and it was classified as a suicide. I don't trust that report with this video surfacing old or new I understand a cops job is hard but sometimes some things just don't add up right.

I 1st saw it at least a year ago.
She most likely already had multiple health issues. Our bodies are very receptive to stress, it can literally kill you due to the cardiac drive. My guess is that the increased stress for however long they were there and then the time following after was too much for the heart to keep up. I have no idea for sure though what happened.

A woman was denied a liquor license. This woman called the cops and claimed, "this newspaper told someone about my old DUI and they got that info illegally. This MUST BE why I had my liquor license denied!"
The paper NEVER ran a story about this other woman! EVER!
And yet? The cops raid the newspaper anyway. They take EVERYTHING (papers, records, computers, phones..). They also raid the home of the paper's editor and this poor woman, the editor's mother.
There was no "identity theft" as the lady and the cops claim. They know full well they're not gonna find anything. But they went there to bully the newspaper because this paper DOES run stories about cops behaving badly. True stories.
Btw, did you see the shoulder tap that cop did before walking out? That's the universal sign of, "This crazy person is your problem now, whatever, I'm out." Proving there is *zero* empathy here.
TL;DR Last remaining local Kansas newspaper (and editor) gets raided for a story they never ran bc a crazy woman cried foul and the cops use this opportunity to destroy a newspaper that tells stories about their abusive tendencies... therefore proving those stories are true. The stress kills the editor's mother, cops give no fucks.
If anyone tells me "most cops are good cops" again, sorry I just don't believe you. Maybe there used to be, but not anymore. If "good cops" existed, they would be BEGGING for reform to remove the "few bad apples" that give them a bad name. But they're not. Because innocent cops don't exist anymore.

So essentially they killed her, the warrant has been withdrawn and items returned because the claim was obviously false.
These cops be held accountable for the death of that lady, because of the amount of stress and anxiety that the old lady had to go through.
