Very well put together video! I want to use and like Water Strike so much, but Im always running around with a charged/charging hammer so I never really get the opportunity. This makes me want to give it more of a chance though!
A great way to use it is to use the purple stance or the strength stance. This way after you water strike you can instant switch to a level 3 charge or wire bug attack. Switching from purple to yellow will do this when you have the right trigger held and pressing A.
Logically it should only counter in front. But we are talking about a move that can counter literal jet dragon doing a dive bomb, tornados and sound waves from scream
It’s only in front, I have been practicing this move extensively, and if your back is to a projectile you will get hit. I have had situations where I have multiple monsters attacking and I water strike one hit get the effect while simultaneously being hit by another from the side or behind. Some quests where I remember this happened were heart of might, Rajang holiday special and nothing to sneeze at.
Didn't know you could water strike so many moves like Rajang laser, thanks for the knowledge and congrats for your skills
