india doesn't have any technology or research to share that RR doesn't already have. what india can do is request for an assembling permit.

Make a proper roadmap on Engine developments. We need 3 different categories like 85kN , 98 kN and 110-120 kN engines for light medium and heavy catagory fighter jets for present and upcoming futures

Do not forget the british refused to supply the desired engines for marut and forces us to buy jaguars. Iaf played ball with British
They didn't refused that, it's just we were not willing to pay the amount they were asking.
Different story, they asked us to pay for engine for Marut which we refused and instead we invested in Egyptian engine which got cancelled. Jaguar story was with HAL HF73

RR have 2 facilities going further expansion. Spreading engaged in marine Turbo engine. Willing to share full ToT and IPR for new engine. My suggestion is to get ToT, IPR on presently available high thrust engine for a premium which can use all future engines. with joint collaboration for new engine with ToT on crystal blade, metallurgy and core critical technology. I think it will be better deal than GE, Safran as of now. France rigid in transfer of technology. This is best opportunity as RR already having available high thrust engine which seal must be completed quickly

People have perception that rolls royce has better technology than french saffran but it is wrong completely. Rolls royce has not made a single independent engine since 60 years. Infact the typhoon jets engine was made with germany and spain help. And jaguar jet engine made with french saffran help. And france saffran independently made 95kn M53 engine for mirage jets in 1960 era only. And rolls royce is still at 90kn in 2024 that too with germany and spain help. France saffran is decades ahead in engine technology. And is one among only 3 nations that can make engines fully independently- Russia, USA, France

In 2035:- their are delays in some critical parts roll out extended till 2038-40.
Good offer if it comes with core engine tech, ipr and decent price.
Bhai bahut delay ho gaya ab. We should RUSH to finalise one of the manufacturers now. It will take 6 years for a new engine to develop, and then 3-4 years of thorough testing.. that means 10 LONG YEARS until the engine is ready for production.
Chalo even if we consider ki RR is developing the 6th gen engine for its upcoming GCAP jet, and they design a derivative of it to keep costs under control for us, tab bhi 5-7 years toh lagenge hi lagenge as against 10 under normal circumstances.

I think RR will be the best partner for India in the AMCA programme. If we go with GE there is a very real chance that US will interfere more in the AMCA and will also have a say if we decide to export the jet. Safran on the other hand seems eager to work on this project but hesitant to share technology which we have also seen with the Dassault group in case of Rafale. US is not a reliable partner by any means and will use it as an excuse to intervene in our defense matters more.
We need to become atmanirbhar in jet propulsion technology also .... Kab tak west ke aage haanth felate rahenge ! .... The USA enables talent from all over the world and they invest a lot in higher education and research .... Here we need to talk about education cutting edge research tabhi sahi maino me atmanirbhar ban payenge ! .... 🙏 ....

The Rolls Royce, GE and Saffran are all playing games with India, i.e. promising but not delivering. They will never give you engine technology. They want Indias money but will not deliver. Without engine, all of Indias fighter programme is a paper plane, no more.

If we dont go with Rafales in the 114 tender, then we should go with RR engine.....firstly, their hot cire engine tech is aaid to be better... Secondly, they have promised 100 ToT, while saffron has NOT offered 100% ToT yet, in my knowledge..... Also RR is offering a 130kn class engine.....Not 110kn...
