For those who can't or want to afford a vitamin C serum for more than 100 EUR, like me: I use Geek&Gorgeous C-Glow with 15% ascorbic acid and ferulic Acid and vitamin E - it costs 10,50 EUR 😉 And is a european brand (Hungary). What counts, are the ingredients, not brand and marketing.

@@tracybownes7612 I live in Denmark and have used Timeless Vit C for years, but recently it was pulled off the european Market, due to too high content of one of the ingredients (one of the “filler” ingredients). I wrote to Timeless and asked about it, and they said that they will have a solution at the end of the year.

Yes, I fully agree!! My little sister is just getting into her teen years and the only person who's a certified derm I can find for anywhere around teen years is Dr. Dray... And she really only gets as close as 20's... With that being said, she is still great for it and also goes into places like Walmart, target, Sam's, and walgreens too so the products are pretty relatively cheap.

As I understand it from my own research, peptides and copper peptides also should not be used in the same routine with ascorbic acid. Copper & l-aa counteract each other, and peptides don't work in low acid environments -- so no C or BHA/AHA (unless the peptide product is specifically formulated to work with them.)
Can you discuss the benzene in sunscreen issue and also address how this might impact your skincare line? I’ve been interested in how this might be impacting people who have their own lines.

Ce férulic from Skinceuticals is THE ONLY product I buy repeatedly from the brand as it is absolutely AMAZING! I would literally give up on my daily coffee if I had to in order to buy this product. It is worth splurging on as it has helped brighten my skin after 3 yrs of everyday use and my hyper pigmentation has faded too. This is one holy grail product I will never ever give up. Hello 😀 I'm using a vitamin c in powder form and mix it with my moisture. It's says it can be mixed with niacinamide serum or moisture. But if I use it with serum I end up using double the amount of serum to mix.

I just came across your video! It’s wonderful, I just purchased my first bottle of SkinCeuticals vitamin C E Ferulic serum, I wanted to know in which step of the morning skin care routine should I apply this product? So I use La Mer and I’ve been using it for about nine years now and I wanted a vitamin C to add to my routine.
So my daily ritual is that I cleanse my face, I exfoliate my face only twice a week, then I use the La Mer treatment lotion Follow by the La Mer serum then I apply the new La Mer hydrating infused emulsion serum and after that I apply my crème de La Mer cream and sunscreen. It would be very helpful if you can let me know on which step I should use my vitamin C serum? Thank you and have a lovely day.

Peptides become less effective in an acidic environment. It's not recommended to use them with Vit C or AHAs/BHA. You can perhaps buffer in between.
I used a resurfacing pad this morning by Derma E that contains fertile acid, resveratrol, DMAE and topped it with their Vitamin C and hyluronic acid serum. Are these compatible? Then I used Estée Lauder Resilience peptide moisturizer under my make up.

Would you use clindamacin or vitamin c first?
I used to use the C serum from Mad Hippie for years. But I developed an intolerance to it. After doing some research, I purchased the Timeless 10% C serum with E and ferulic acid, which I started today. I waited to resume using a C serum until after I healed my skin barrier (or mostly healed it). I’m experiencing minor irritation from it, so I’ll try every other day until I can tolerate it easily.

I am a typical low melatonin Caucasian woman with very dry skin, interesting but I get great results using some Ayurvedic products containing neem, coconut milk, organic cold pressed pomegranate oil, also I rinse with leftover brown rice water on my hair after shampooing, then I spray a mist of rosemary water and towel dry, if you cannot get these above ingredients try the Happy Hippie for various skin care products.
I hope this works as well as Cartier does for flexx'ing!

Have you tried the Glow Maker from Maelove? Also, do you offer vitamin C in your skincare line? I didn't see any.
I use an Anti-Aging Vitamin C Serum 20% Vitamin C Hyaluronic Acid Vitamin E. Is this a good one? I've been using it every morning for about a month now. Can't say I have noticed a difference in my skin but love the smell and feel of it on my skin. Is this a good one to use or should I change?

I started with Maelove and loved it! I saw big improvements with my perimenopause skin BUT it always went bad within 3 months. I switched to Timeless about 6 months ago and like it equally as well AND it comes in a pump, so it doesn’t turn yellow as quickly. 6 months and I’m on the same bottle. I wear it 2x/day.

1. You said VitC+AHA = compatible. If i wanna pair VitC with Glycolic acid in the morning ...., would i go about it in this sequence, [ cleanse > VitC > Glycolic Acid > moisturizer > Sunscreen] ?
2. I've been using this Olay VitC+Peptide24 brigtening serum for 2-3 wks now and I love it. I understand it has 3-0-ethyl ascorbic acid, which is gentler. My question is ..., is it supposed to be of milky color/consistency?
I understnad that L-ascorbic is clear to yellowish in good form.
I also understand that it's very unstable and can oxidize into orange/brown color (which is useless at this point) fast but with 3-0-ethyl ascorbic acid, i can't tell if ive ruined my product or not.

As a 34 year old who STILL gets hormonal acne, I am tired of waiting for it to pass, and not addressing my other skin concerns (aging, sagging, PIE and PIH). I improved my acne a bit with diet, and I love my BP facewash, glycolic acid (don’t love BHA’s), just started adding azelaic acid again and now feel happy to start vitamin C! I just don’t want to stop my BP facewash, because I feel like everything helps me in their own way.

Hi i wrap my vit c dropper with duck tape so no light gets in. Also when i open it i put something over it to help keep air out.

I'm using a Vitamin C serum which has a form of it called Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate. Is it a good form to use? If not, what other forms of Vitamin C would you suggest using other than the L-Ascorbic Acid one? And in what percentage?
Yes, the best one after L-ascorbic. Very stable, proven to work for hyperpigmentation, acne. Dr. Shereene Idriss has a video going more in depth in regards to the acids.

Check out the budget dermatologist and Angie of Hot and Flashy on UA-cam. Angie tested a few vitamin c serums with ph strips a while back

That’s the only one with actual scientific data behind it that’s probably why. Dr Dray doesn’t promote vit c but she has stated this would be the only one to use if she did.

If you skip washing your face is the morning (and moisturized the night before), is it pointless to apply vitamin C in the morning? I typically wash my face in the morning but sometimes in the winter I’d rather not, but I also want to make sure my vitamin C application will be effective.

I totally agree! I’ve just started using the Silymarin and I love it however she mentioned at the beginning of the video that it’s use is limited yet never explained why!
And Garden of Wisdom Vit C at Victoria Health - pretty good dupe from what I can see - and WAY cheaper. Or Timeless, spendy but not that high.
Probably because both of them contain alcohol, which (in the long run) does more harm than good to the skin. And also probably because C E Ferulic is the original (most studied and also patented) formula from Dr. Pinnell, the other to being something that L'Oreal came up with - no studies, no evidence but same cost as the C E Ferulic. Does this make sense?

As soon its patted in, azelaic acid is good to go to my knowledge. I have been applying such way with no issue.
I just wait until it’s fully dry. Maybe 5-10 minutes.
I used serum 10 from skinceuticals n it was fine but when I stopped n restarted again, it gave me a bad breakout.

AM routine:benzoyl peroxide 4% wash. Vit.C from klairs. Laroche Posay moisturizer. Drmtlgy tinted sunscreen.
Pm routine: oil cleanser. Benzoyl peroxide wash. Vaseline protecting sensitive area like around eyes, edge of nose and corner of lips. Retinoid 0.05%. Laroche posay moisturizer.
I thi k this routine is a bit counter productive .. becuz vitamin c is an antioxidant and benzoyl peroxide is an oxidat... And it's not like you wash everything off ..so some benzoyl stays in your skin to deactivate vitamin c..
Can we apply moisturizer after vitamin c??
I use the silymarin cf though it can feel a little tacky which is kinda annoying, I prefer the texture of the phloretin cf but i have acne so silymarin cf is better for me and isn't as glowy, i just wish they didn't include the 0.5% salicylic acid lol because i suspect that's what makes it feel a little tacky
Do you find Phloretin C F to make your skin glowy? That's what I'm experiencing...That's why my dermatologist recommend it opposed to C E Ferulic formulation...but it has the same effect on me... I thought it was because the Vitamin E that was causing the shine
