My client recently purchased AffiliateWP. We installed it for her. My new developer wasn't clued in on the tactics of Awesome Motive. So, this is what happened....

It feels provocative that they default to installing several other plugins. Cheeky! Thank you that you presented this.

Reminds me of the kind of garbage Elementor has been pulling. Don't they understand how much this damages their brand image? WTH?!?

Awesome Motive is a lot worse than Elementor.

To be honest, they kinda are. After all, they're so large now that we keep talking about them. :p But, there are still things to be criticized at times, and this is one of them, IMO.

@@BlogMarketingAcademy No they are not. Seriously, they are one of the scummiest companies in the WP ecosystem. I put them on my black list years ago. We have many client sites in active maintenance and there just is not enough hours in a day to deal with their shady business practices. I completely disagree that they are great at business, they are just arrogant and dishonest. When they changed their name to Awesome Motive I just laughed because of the irony of that name...

Don't get me wrong... I get the sentiment. But, I'm just being real about it, too. They are one of the biggest companies in the WordPress space, so whether we like them or not, it is hard to say they're not good at business. They clearly are.

@@BlogMarketingAcademy They are good sales people. There's a difference. A large size does not equal quality. McDonalds is one of the largest restaurant chains in the world,. They sell crappy food I would not even feed my dog. To me being good at business implies integrity, respecting the ecosystem you work in and especially respecting your users.. Awsome Motive have none of those things.
