  • A circular hike in the Eastern Central Brecon Beacons. Starting at Blaen Y Gwyn car park (Talybont Waterfalls) we climb up a waterfalls path to the summit of Craig y Fan Ddu then circular ridge walk to Bwlch Y Ddwyallt (highest summit 754m) then Craig Cwareli 73 cairn. Then return via moorland to Gwaun Cerrig Llwydion central cairn and back along same path to car. Very quiet only a few tourists and perfect weather conditions for a change. Well recommended.

@@adamradford2285 Definitely more isolated and has a bit more of a wild feeling to it away from the crowds on Pen y fan. Even though Pen y fan is fantastic sometimes you just want to wander in peace. Thanks Adam ATB

    Hi Adam. Good video mate.
    It's pretty step start there.
That was nice to watch. I like how you always have good go with the names.
I've lived here all my life and struggle, my cousin is Welsh speaking so I can check with him sometimes.
One thing I remember is F is V in Welsh, I don't remember much more😁 You had it nice and quiet.
Germany and Holland walkers👍👌 You filmed it well something I've been trying hard to do also is slow my camera movements down. Sometimes I just play a shot at 2x slower, that’s saved me on a few clips.
It obviously doesn’t work if talking.
You shared a beautiful mountain well👍

Hi Jamie thanks for the comment! I remember your visit here going to the memorial and the fall into the waterfall lol 😂😂. I agree with you the Eastern side is much quieter and more to offer I think. Welsh or other Celtic languages are really unnatural for an English speaker but all I can do is try, that’s great having a Welsh speaking cousin to run things by. When you hear a Welsh speaker it’s shocking to see how wrong I’ve been getting the names , but better than 10 years ago.!
Having a few problems with quality of images , I’ll try tinker with settings once more then might just buy a new camera. I do find after 24 hours post upload on UA-cam the quality improves a bit and is less grainy?
Thanks as always , hope you’re having a good week

I loved that one Adam. I mist get that way - you've been showing us how good it is. I think you got the camera right because appeared sharper - you did the walk some justice there pronunciation attempts too. Ha ha! Well, good going. Mark

Hi Mark , that’s good the images were a little better. I think it takes a day or so also after uploading a video for quality to improve on UA-cam.
Would be great if you headed over there , I would like to see your take on it!
The pronunciations are difficult sometimes but slowly trying to improve. Talking of pronunciations I didn’t know Gilfach is said Gilva. Good to have some local knowledge! All the best mate

@@adamradford2285 Yes, they came out well Adam. Now I never knew that about the quality - it has a life does google. Re-the area - I will explore it one day when my leg is better. At present it's small distances. Ah, yeah the Welsh language - me and you both mate. That's right I was told of Gilva. Peace.

@@WyeExplorer Ah hope your leg gets better soon, it’s frustrating isn’t it these injuries. That’s the best thing to do small distances and climbs and build it up. I’ve had fitness knocked back all year with a load of virus and chest infections so until now have been doing lower hills mostly! Have a great weekend
