The Shibuya Ward countdown has been canceled. Temporary barriers will be installed around the Hachiko statue from December 31st until 1 a.m. on January 1st. Additionally, from 6 p.m. on the 31st until 5 a.m. on New Year's Day, public drinking in the station's public spaces is prohibited as per the ward's regulations. While the large screens at the Scramble Crossing typically display visuals until midnight, for the end of 2023, broadcasting ceased at 11 p.m. on the 31st.
