What a boat. Perfect for an adventurous couple: what sights they must have seen. I can't sail & unless I win the lottery, never will. That doesn't stop me from dreaming of sailing the world, in a custom built KM Yacht. I see you are building Skip Kovak's new boat, you must be proud.
I think you find people trying to pick holes in your boat is because we can all see it's aimed at perfection. For two years owning one of these boats I would gladly give up any remaining life, they are dream makers.
A lot of smart things and decisions, lots of +++. But this boat has the smallest galley Ive ever seen in my life like if its a daysailer. The other thing - is a lack of windows and light in all cabins.
Thanks for your reply. The yacht is usually sailed double handed and it seems to have been a sufficient galley for the past 10+ years. Nice thing is you have space for a proper dining table and sitting area. As you see in the video the yacht is used a lot in high latitudes hence there are not many portholes in the hull which most people sailing over there would prefer for safety reasons. The cabins do have an over-head deck hatch. And the salon area is actually quit light thanks to the open plan pilot house and large windows above. Perhaps it does not show well in the video.
Good sailboat... But lacks protection especially in bitter cold wet conditions, a second helm in cockpit would've been better. Also some fitting of cabinets door as you don't want to smell coats or boots in cabin. Not saying it's bad but it's gonna need a step up to say Amel 60 class sailboats. ☝️😎
You think that that halfopen amel 60 steering position is going to protect you better against the bitter cold than the pilot house on this boat? I’d rather keep watch in this boat in the high latitudes than in an amel dude.
Thank you for your reaction, and we're very sorry the engine is not filmed. But we assure it is there! :-) It's a Yanmar 4JH4-TH inboard, 75hp (fully sound proofed) with sail drive.

Oh NO, I'm starting to look forward to the music every time I look here!
The Bestevaer are some of the fastest Cruising Yachts in the world. 15 knots or more I've heard.
A truly a mile eater .
KM, as always, what an amazing yacht! You guys really rock.
Thank you :-)
Looks like a fantastic ocean going vessel. Wrt the video, KM should consider using a wider angle lens, it would provide better overview.

Mr dykstra has this very model himself
4:20 Czy ten metal przy kompasie nie uszkodzi go?
Very impressive.
Thank you!
this lady has the wow effect
If I could just afford her, would bei a proper upgrade ...
Was that one, single, tiny solar panel for the whole boat?? Unless I missed some, that feels inadequate.
She has a generator for extra power. The solar panel is mostly used to trickle the batteries.
OK, I surrender, that does it, send me the details!

The only thing I would question about the galley is the open lockers and stainless shelving, just how secure is that?@@KMYachtbuilders
No solar panels ?
No, this particular yacht does not have solar panels. She has a gen set installed for back up power if needed.

750k vs +2million on the Amel 60. For 2 million you can get a custom alluminium yatch at KM that would make the Amel look like a toy
Nice boat, music that will put you on suicide watch
Сколько стоит?
Her asking price is EUR 750.000 incl VAT.
can't see an engine
