Where is the menu button on the keyboard?
Power doesn't go to keyboard. If you try plugging it out and back in it does eventually but you would need 20 pairs of hands to do it the way you have done. Please tell me where I'm going wrong

for anyone who turns on their firestick 4k and gets loading then nothing blank screen etc... hit the Netflix app button or prime tv on the remote if either app loads try holding down the home button till you get the settings option and go the main settings screen and look at the profile and see if for some strange reason you've been signed out, if so then go through the steps to sign back in again and well... it worked for me lol

I have 3 brand new 4 K Max gen 1. And 1 Max gen 2. They are brand new. And they won't update. Do you have a fix for that? Thanks in advance for the help.
Gen. 2 stick. Got safe mode by your method but it won't open settings icon. Just lights it up. Open other icons and it just loops on them. Obviously Firesticks need a manual reset push pin on the stick itself. Won't waste money on another unless they get one that's for sure.
I can’t even put my fire stick in safe mode. I did what you asked with the keyboard. I tried it at least a dozen times and still nothing. Just continues with the logo. Any ideas?

Usually my bootloop is because of overheating & too much cache being used (Kodi). Unplug it and get some cooling on it.

I'm confused. Where's the power coming from? Isn't the OTG cable supposed to have a port to plug in your Firestick power cord? How are the Firestick and keyboard being powered?

Hello, my Fire TV 4K Max device is stuck on the logo at startup. I've done this many times but it doesn't work. When restarting with the keyboard, will Caps Lock be active or disabled?

What if you have a mini keyboard where the only way to use printscreen is if you use the function button? The problem is the function button also changes the i button.

tried all this and can't get my otg keyboard to power on. Tried 4 different OTG cables and several keyboard none power on when the firestick is in loop. Tried another firestick with usb keyboard and and came on right away. Any ideas? Enjoy your videos

Should send you mine, it gets stuck in the boot loop every day..lol, or goes into shutdown and once in shutdown or standby, it will not come out!
I have a Firestick 4K Max, and this has always done to on mine from new, and the Firestick was new this year. Whenever mine goes into SHUTDOWN it never comes out. Totally frustrating and annoying as I used to be a TV and Satellite technician, so pretty good on all things audio and video tech lol
I now use an OTG cable as that is the only way I can get it to start after it has shutdown, and only way it comes out of standby is to "HOLD SELECT AND PLAY BUTTON DOWN FOR 10 seconds" it then resumes boot up, which then loads to the Home screen after loading.

Something else it does as well, it will not recognise no External Memory Storage from USB stick, I have tried 3 OTG cables to get an external USB memory stick to be recognised with no joy, plus 4 different brands of memory cards/sticks, all with no joy.

This Amazon 4k Max Firestick is fully up to date, if it didn't have these minor faults I would love it, but tend to find myself going back to use the Android box I have, since that is much more reliable, and so much easier to bootup, and if it goes into standby it comes out with a simple push of a button, something my Firestick has never done.

In the video you can see that as soon as you press the keys it goes to safe Mode, but even if i press for a while nothing happens

There has to be another way- the remote hard set wont work in the loop, or when your on the home page.

just tried it using your setup, its a no go, ive used 2 wired keyboards and one wireless keyboard, no luck. Seems like the keyboard isnt getting any power

Omggg, why can’t I find the right video, my fire stick keeps popping up with the fire tick logo whenever I am in the home screen and press the controls once, it then acts like it’s resetting…
I desperately need help. My 4K max is displaying 'android recovery' and the option to reboot or factory reset. There is no way of selecting either, as the remote won't work! I've tried everything, including attaching a keyboard. Not even Amazon can sort it. Can you please help?

You never plugged your Firestick into anything to give it power. Did you plug it into your TV or computer?

Your otg is powered by USB xnnx and power lead is going to the firestick. Still doesn't work as the keyboard goes dead@DocSquiffy

I have a Fire TV model DV83YW. It uses a wall wart by default so it's plugged in. I also have it connected wired and not wireless. I have tried the remote and a keyboard. Neither helped. I have also left it in the boot loop for over an hour and that did not help. Anything else I should try?

All the videos that I see on UA-cam, which talk about how you can remove the bootlap using buttons, are all complete crap. All these methods do not work. Since when connecting cables through an external cable, the keyboard does not receive power.

Yeah this sucks. I have the fire tv (television) which no people talk about.
My keyboard has no power any reason why
1) That's not an OTG cable, it's a mini hub. *if* it supports OTG at all (most of them don't; a few of them claim to but don't), it's entirely irrelevant to this problem. (If anyone used an actual OTG cable this wouldn't work - no power.) 2) Fire TV sticks do not have a 'charging port'. The micro-b input is the power supply - there's no internal battery in the fire TV stick. So disconnecting the power supply and plugging in an unpowered hub is not going to power it up. You quietly ignored the fact that you must have had to use an external power supply for that hub - which will be an uncommon round plug, not a micro usb that people might already have, i.e. one more thing to buy.

Change the wireless connection from 5g to normal one
its also cause by a bad power socket on the firestick
