I've had the Blue Snowball iCE for almost a year, going to upgrade to a Blue Yeti Nano since it sounds identical to the standard Blue Yeti, and it's almost $50 dollars cheaper in canada.
I got this mic for meetings because my webcam would take a while to register when plugged in, so I would have to transfer my Teams meeting to my phone. It was a frustrating experience. This Blue mic is plug and play. It literally registers in my Teams mic selection dropdown as soon as I plug it in. Lovely!
It's just the stand you see in the video... If you have problems with picking up typing sounds you might wanna look into a scissor mount with a shock 👍🏼
I got one (non iCE, the original) for about 80€ including average arm stand (59€ without the stand). I need it mainly for MS Teams, Discord, chat with friends etc. I am not a streamer or content creator, but I understood having a good mic (especially with working from home) will solve my issues with the average Hyper X Cloud Alpha headphones I have. While the mic on them is ok-ish and good enough to throw slurs and jokes with friends, it is a bit janky and has issues from time to time (dropping audio suddenly, friends hear an echo randomly when I talk). So I decided to get this mic looking for the best price - quality ratio, minus the "extreme" and over the top designs (and marketing bullshit) of the... "gaming" peripheral devices. The Elgato shit is crazy expensive in EU, not sure because of the Twich Streamer craze, but they punch into Røde territory, which makes me question them. Anyway, once I set it up I can stop the hassle of constantly changing my headphones and combo them with my sweet Fidelio X2HR
@@jasonrtech can you recommend something similar that has built in monitoring? I rely heavily on hearing myself while I talk because it fucks me up if I can't or there's a delay
@@en_ry nah it needs to be zero latency, which you can only truly get with hardware. I got a blue yeti nano, probably the cheapest option for monitoring

It's actually decent. I heard worse sounds output from other creators
Honestly yeah. It’s quite important to know what you’re doing with the audio.

Any good sites that might help with background noise levels ?
VST Plugin it´s like Krisp for Windows and i have Zero Background noises with the Snowball
i jus got a snowball ice for 20$ so i’d say good price to performance
How’s it holding up?
Does it have noise cancellation?
Is it good for recording music like acoustic guitar as a starting out option?
Absolutely, if your budget is $50 👍🏼
Can it be plugged into the headphone socket on a mobile phone?
Yes get usb to lighting and it will work
Nice small room
wow nice video
Thanks!
