My honest question is this: why normalize faith failing instead of tackling the root issues which seems to me like an unrealistic idea of faith being fed to the masses? It’s not working for a reason and the solution has to be more than “just believe anyway”, right?
I think the point of their testimonies is to shed light on the unrealistic ideas of faith being spread to the masses. Some unrealistic ideas are that living for Jesus is not a suffering way, that it’s not confusing or disappointing at times. These people are telling their testimonies of disappointment yet allowing God to change their perspectives of their experiences through consistent trust in his will and way. It’s not about “believing anyway”, it’s about having Faith in who Jesus showed himself to be. It’s not easy doing that when experiences personally, socially, environmentally, and culturally are impacting your emotional and psychological state. That’s why Jesus emphasizes living in Spirit and in truth.
I LOVE these transparent conversations!
