I hate negative comments and rarely leave them but with all the work you've done to match seams and get things to fit correctly to do a half assed paint job? But then again all of your "projects" are half finished. I'm seeing a pattern here. I worked as a wrench (yes) and built a few cars but man, if you don't have the money, tools, experience, or motivation don't do it. When I first started watching you it was because it was funny but now I realize that you are serious. High school hack jobs. Very similar to your fellow 'tubers Half Assed Customs. I am unsubscribing wishing you good luck.

I really think you should paint the rest of the car, It looks well, Don’t spoil it by scuffling the paint up Dan, You are better at bodywork and painting than you think 👍
It is your project, Dan. You only have to please 2 people. I enjoy your outside the box approach. Nothing shabby about your paint work. You are a man after my own heart........drivers not hangar queens. Hater's are gonna hate. Nobody is forced to watch. Ignore em!
Thank you for all of the posts on the 68 Sport Satellite. My family's car when I was a young kid in the 70's was one of these. It was yellow with a black vinyl roof. Then painted all black. 318. Thanks for bringing back a lot of memories. I look forward to every new episode on it.
I love that “survivor” look. Everybody likes a shiny car but to find a car in it’s original form, that just gets my attention more than shiny. I get more excited to see a classic car with it’s all original everything down to weathered paint than I do a full on restored classic. Keep up the awesome work Dan.
I am always shaking my head throughout the process, but in the end - I like it. It is his car and he can do what he wants whether anybody likes it or not. I like his attitude. I think he really enjoys this. Can't wait to see what the station wagon will bring to the channel.
Dan, I’ve got 30 years in the car restoration experience. You do an incredible job for a reasonable amount invested. Cars like these were meant to drive and enjoy. Not rotisserie restored and sold at auction to people that should be driving a civic. Keep doing what you do, love the channel.
Rarely do I comment but WOW Lynn!!! It is not your car you are not footing the bill and looking at your channel I see there is a ton of beautiful restored cars.....Dan keep up the great work you are the reason I started building a 74 Omega, keep inspiring!
We had a '69 Plymouth Belvedere back in the 70's. Dad got it used for $1200 with only 78,000 clicks and we ended up putting over 500,000 on it before a rod started knocking. The last few years she burnt quite a bit of oil, but the motto was, "Drive her 'til she pukes." Leaning tower of power, three on the tree. Like every one of those, you couldn't kill it, it got great gas mileage, and you got the styling of the Road Runner on a Plymouth budget. I was the envy of my high school buddies (until my friend, Ryan, was given his grandpa's cherry '69 Cougar with a 289 Ford small block). I like the looks of your car, and I dig the dog dish caps, the same as you.
Boy this takes me back to 1982,, High school years. My Buddy had one just like this, same everything but he had the 318.He paid like $400 for it. The Car was in Great shape, but the former Lady owner hit an embankment and messed up the front Bumper and left fender. Messed up the frame a little. But I helped him with other friends, and we had it back up and straight in about 2 weeks. Great times!! BTW,at that time I was running a 78 Pontiac Sunbird Coupe, in Orange. 231 buick V6 that would spin the tires all day! Im just a Car Guy, Love them All! P.S., Love your Channel! Mike
Looks Great Dan. You're heading in the right direction to get the patina look back again.Where you scuffed through on the top of the drivers quarter so you could see the layers looks really good. I've been doing autobody for almost 34 years and I have to admit I cringed a little bit when I seen the scuff pad but turned out well. Nice work.
The shinny was no good for what "we" wanted to achieve! After the scuffing, the ratty look came through. As for mis matched hood/fenders, a car that we sold (new car dealership and never hit) had a factory panel that was repainted a couple different times at the factory before it went out. So you never know why colours change over time. Hit/not hit, paint was not exactly same through out complete spray...? Any who, it's looking great! Proud of you, my man!
I love it. Can't believe a the negative comments. A lot of guys are back yard body men / enthusiasts. Not everyone has the time / budget to build a 60k car so we work with what we have. Very cool car and will still turn heads. There are enough videos showing high end unobtainable builds. Keep up the good work.
Please don't listen to the haters! I love the patina survivor look on your "Dodge". From a resale perspective it's been my experience that a mostly original paint rust free survivor car is more profitable. A complete proper paintjob is an insane amount of labour, not to mention several thousands of dollars in materials. Either all these haters are misinformed from watching reality shows where they pretend to fully restore a car for 10 grand in 2 days, or they are still stuck in 1976 when a complete paintjob cost $50 (and peeled off a week later)
Keep it rough :) You’re doing a good thang. Don’t let folks comments get you down, if they want full build restorations there are other channels for them. You keep doing what has worked for you. Great job, :)
Great job what you are doing. I hate negative comments. At least you are saving these cars. Let someone else buy them and finish it the way they want to. Great job brother keep it up
I wouldn’t say 75% by any means but I know what you mean, it’s enough that I would have repainted the whole thing, but it’s his car, he’s free to paint it however he wants to, even if we don’t like the way it turns out
The "Jalapeno Jalopy" throw a pair of vise grips on for a go-left-go-right selector, chuck in a milk crate to sit on and call it done! Keep it up Dan! 👍
I drive a primered car and love it. I have $25k in the car and maybe $300 in what I used on the interior and jammed the entire car in. I park it anywhere without a worry.
Looks awesome Dan! The old “Dodge” has come along way...I personally like that you left some warts on it. I’m not a Mopar guy but I do like the lines on that one. Now make it go fast!
good video. Yes there is a lot of difference between painting the whole car right, and sort of matching what is there. Good enough for what you wanted. Looking forward to the next project.

Column shift is the way to go if you drive much it is just handy all the time. That old green is one of the hardest paints to match. in the shop we had to do the adjacent panel and blend with a little clear to fool the customer and keep quite about it.. they always liked the matches. You are doing great job on the Plymouth.
Don’t beat up on the Plymouth over a few negative comments. Now I feel like I have to comment to reassure you that what you’re doing is right. Every vehicle you touch is better than you found it. You save these vehicles from rotting away in a field and get them safe and solid with new brakes and floors, to the point they’re viable projects for a novice. If you put too much time or money in you won’t be able to sell them as almost every car guy wants to finish a car theirs own way. I enjoy watching. Keep doing what you’re doing.

Huge improvement. You’re halfway there, just blast the rest of the car.
Dan you are never lazy most of wish we could accomplish half as much as you do every week. thanks for all your videos really enjoy them all.
getting a nice paint job in a working garage is impossible, but pulling off a old patina match up is best bet, nice work brother.

Don’t worry about the different shades on the quarters. That car has shades of green that you could never match. So, what’s a few more?
Seeing that beauty makes me green with envy. 😉
