- Dinky Toys 160 Austin A30
Together with its companion piece the Fiat 600 (No.183) this is a bit of an oddity, seemingly in slightly smaller scale - although a model of a very small car, and I have checked it - it is 1:43 - it has Lesney style solid plastic wheels, maybe Meccano were looking for cheaper production methods.
It was made between 1958 and 1962

TRAX used to do a Brocky version, but I missed it. Nice wee motor, though, Michael. I'd have been sore tempted to do something with the wheels just to get them to look a tad more realistic. Not much you can do with the oversize headlamps though. I like the little jeweller's Anvil - that looks like a lot less risky! Splendid result and a classic colour!
Did think about changing the wheels for awhile but nothing I had made it look better than the original wheels.
