You shouldn't try to connect atheists, We don't want a club or house or gang. An atheist is and should be a singular thought of mind. No clubs thanks. WE ARE NOT A NEGATIVE OR REVERSE RELIGION...DO NO HARM.
He does connect atheists; especially in his Persian stream where atheists can be executed for apostasy. He is doing a service. His Persian following is much bigger than his English speaking following. Those people who keep their mouths shut about their atheism because they face execution may NEED to feel connected to other exMuslims, in order to manage their terror & loneliness better. Stop thinking like a westerner.
I understand the utility of that. But my only concern is, western atheism seems to have an “Abrahamic touch”. But it doesn’t work in all contexts. And in fact it can also lead to ‘my way or highway’ kind of an attitude. Perhaps because of this attitude, I see many modern atheists unnecessarily picking fights with all religious groups by unnecessarily blaspheming. It doesn’t really achieve anything. Rather better focus on pushing people to reform their religions. After all religion is what religious believe, not what’s written in scriptures verbatim.
