Guys thank you for this tutorial. As a programmer with zero experience in modeling it's proving a bit difficult to get into grips about certain things I believe are fundamental in game development. Uvw unwrapping for instance. I managed to understand things through your videos for which I am grateful. Would like to request one more video if possible of doing an export of this and importing it into an engine like unity.
exactly what I was looking for! but why go for that basic texture so early in the process? Couldn't you have just rendered it plane and used the defuse + shadow map to do the whole progress untill... wel part 5 :) what I mean is you made a wood grain, rendered it out and used that in your material, isn't it easier to just add the woodgrain in the material itself? I hope you get what I mean, it's a kind of silly question but it kind of feels like an "extra step" Anyway great tutorial, thank you so much!
