This is one of the most difficult Christie novels to read. We have plots within plots. eg. it starts with the Russians obtaining the 'Heart of Fire". What the hell is this got to do with it. it is open and we never get to the answer. I found it interesting that Christie herself did not have high regard. It is as if Christie uses a lot of fillers. This is one of those books you read while thinking about tomorrow's menu. Another novel that I find just as bad is "Third Girl".
