I've been shaving face/body with a One Blade exclusively for the last 6 years, never let me down and it's great for trimming side burns etc too. Recently switched to DE shaving w/ a Henson medium + Bic or Gillette SBs which is now my daily routine however I still use the One Blade when traveling or if I don't feel like lathering up. It's a great product.
How close of a shave do you get with the one blade
Best stuff for sensitive skin and not only.
No products needed. At all. Just trim (against the grain, like you do with hair clippers) dry beard/stubble, then rinse off and you are ready.
Someone writing about other trimmers or clippers or razors... OneBlade - is something else. No one trimmer cut your hair so close and no one razor save your skin like OneBlade. It worth to try.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Great review. How much are replacement blades?
@@OhioShaves ~10 bucks. I think this price pretty same for all countries.
Much less than shave products for classic shaving)
But it's NOT THE SAME)
Been using this for 1 yr & it's a GREAT shave wet or dry!! 💯
Great to hear! Is this your only Razor?
@OhioShaves No bro, I have the king c gillette, the merkur 38c barber pole & the rockwell 6c. I only use the one blade of I'm in a hurry or for something quick. I wet shave with De razors
The one blade may not give a BBS shave, but when I'm traveling or in a hurry, it's my go to choice. Super convenient and I only have to change the head once every 3 or so months.
Good to know. Thanks for sharing.
but the the head replacement is not that cheap compare other electronic shave which usually last 1 year with similar price
I’m similar to many other commenters on here: I use my oneblade when I am lazy and/or in a hurry. I have the best luck with it when using it on a dry clean face with some Electric pre-shave. It doesn’t compare to DE wet shaving smoothness but I still like it.
Great tip. Thanks for letting us know.
I’m sticking to my Yates America and Rockwell T2 ss. It never disappoints! 😊
Great choice
In my opinion this is the best electric razor. I use DE razors mostly now, but this is really nice if you are lazy on the weekends/holidays and just want to keep a shaven look without actually having to shave. I have tried those rotary and foil shavers in the past and I never had a good experience. They missed a ton of hair and irritated the hell out of my neck. You really have to map your beard growth pattern and shave against the grain with this to get acceptable results though. Nice video, keep up the great work!
Great review. Thanks for sharing with us. I'm sure it'll be very helpful.
Prior to following you and starting my wet shaving journey. I exclusively used a Braun Series 7 then a Series 9. I now prefer to Leaf shave my dome & 6s #5 my face, but at a pinch I'll use the Series 9 to shave my head, but always wet shave my face. Keep up the great content David
Great review. Thanks for sharing with us.
Glad to see you are back. I used to use a Wahl trimmer and when I didn't feel like shaving I would knock everything down with it. Left just the finest stubble and I could get away without shaving for another few days. Course now that I went back to DE shaving I never go over 3 days unless I am backpacking or something. Hope you get to feeling better. Thanks for the video.

I have a one blade, and the blades do not last very long at all. Mine will go through a blade about once a month. The best part is you don't know if its good or bad until you start to shave and it ether does or it rips your hair out. It does stay in a wet environment. I am looking at the 6s to change to and keep the new blades dry until needed. We stay on a boat so moisture is always an issue.

@@OhioShaves sweet! appreciate it.
@@OhioShaves So I was also looking at the T2SS eco kit that's on sale also I get a 10% new member discount. It brought the final to $306. I tried stacking the Ohio_Shaves on top and it said no go. is this normal not to be able to stack them like that?
@joeystiles6764 make sure they caught onto people stacking. She still would’ve got 10% using my card.
Awesome you did the Phillips just for sakes.. I use the One Blade only for the hard to reach details and mangrooming. For the daily shaving I use the Rockwell 6C :)
Nice Razor
It's just an ok clipper. An oster t trimmer, wahl detailer or andis outliner will do a more efficient job imo. I recommend those because those blades can always be sharpened for much cheaper than a replacement blade.
Good point
I use it as a pre shave on my sensitive areas, where I normally get redness or rash, and then
completely shave with my normal go to razor and foam. I'm' able to not have to press or go over those sensitive areas and thus enjoy the shave.
Thanks for sharing. Very helpful
I bought this a year or two ago to try and be more efficient than a cartridge without dealing with clogging. While it did handle a thicker beard it wasn't the closeness i was hoping for and it caused irritation for my face especially the neck area unlike the cartridge. Now I just use a near zero gap T trimmer to trim a longer beard down before DE wet shave.
Thanks for sharing.
I’ve used this product also. I hate the mess it makes on the dry side. It is good to use when you need to knock down a ton of growth when you don’t have an aggressive blade. And great as just a trimmer for unsightly hair in other areas. But not a go to for me opposed to a rasor
Thanks for sharing
It’s a great trimmer. I use it to quickly shave 7 days of growth, before using my Rockwell. It did cut me one time. It hurts way more than a razor cut 😅
Thanks for the tip
Yeah. Got one of those years ago. Still hang onto it for trimming and clean up in a pinch.
Nice
I rarely use my one blade 360 pro to do my beard lineup (usually when i am in a hurry), other than that i don't use it at all. I really tried to make it work but its just not as good as a regular safety or straight razor. It kinda does everything (beard lineup, body grooming, trimming) alright but since i have dedicated tools for all those tasks it will always be my second choice.
Yeah, I don't see it making it on my countertop as well. Like you I have different tools for a variety of uses. Thanks for sharing.
Andis T-Outliner instead.
My favorite trimmers as well. But this will actually shave your face to like a two day shave. I can see why a lot of people purchase this item. But my mind I would still use a safety, razor and my T-outliner trimmer
You know since I was going through a frustrating issue with my acne, I decided to just back away from both regular razors, and instead use electric razors just to reduce and have clear skin, but other than that, I too have that Electric Razor, but not the one with the head swivel.
Nice. Thanks for sharing
That is a lot of growth! Nice film my friend
Did that look like a lot of growth in the video?
@@OhioShaves yes sir!
Nope. Not a chance. Cool comparison of the wet and dry shave though !
Not as good as a safety Razor that's for sure
i like this shaver super easy to use. I had a shaver with cleaner results but only in the face and not on the neck and you couldnt use it to trimm/shape the beard. The only downside is the blade bc the thin plastic breaks to easy and the head is to expensive
Great tip!
My neck can’t handle a DE or cart. This is all I can use to line my beard up and it works brilliantly
Good to hear.
I like using my one blade for shaving sensitive areas and not talking about down below 😂 not brave enough for that. I sometimes shave under my arms and for a little touchup if I miss a few hairs on my upper checks but nothing is going to replace a Safety Razor 😊
Thanks for sharing
I used to be a One Blade user for over 5 years. During that time, it would eat up my face every time without a close shave. I feel like it's a good option for folks that don't have thick hair and want to line up.
I'm just thankful I switched to wetshaving cause it gives me that close shave without irritation.
Great review. Thanks for sharing with us. What razor do you use now?
@@OhioShaves I only use the OneBlade for my sideburns and ears if needed. Now it's just mainly the leaf thorn with the feather. Easiest transition for electric shaving users in my opinion
@@posterize9729 💯
Hey guys... Try *Williams Lectric Shavé* *pre-shave lotion*. Before using this electric razor. May give better results. Especially if you are prone to razor burn. *Cheers* ☕
Thanks for the tip
@@williamkilber8853 agree 100%. Makes a world of difference
👍🏻
If I dry shave, in my experience, talcum powder applied into the hair beforehand is the way to go.
Thanks for the tip.
It's not bad electric razor but wet shaving is always the best to avoid any irritation,I have old German moser razor but I prefer to shave with safety razor
Thanks for sharing. It’s not going to replace a razor for me as well
Maybe it doesn't give a bbs but you know if you jump into 2 weeks of growth just learning technique with a de razor you are gonna get nicks for sure. Looks like a good prep for a second pass with a 6s
💈👍
If I had to buy something from the store to shave with or didn't have time to wet shave I would use this, however safety razor is king still for me.
Me too. What razor do you use?
@@OhioShaves the best in my opinion is the Gillette Fat Boy better than any new safety razor today and you should only stick to the older ones specifically from 1958 to about early 60s.
@JBLUE97 I like the technical advantage of precision over pressed stamped metal from the 50s and 60s. But a lot of people like old-school razors and I can see their point.
@@OhioShaves no matter the beard growth you have the fatboy goes in and gets rid of it, no problems at all.
Have you ever used the Edwin Jagger 3one6 razor?
Not yet.
I love DE face shaving too much but I will try this for headshaves if it works well
Let us know.
Sounds like the One Blade is not the shaver for me. I have coarse facial hair, I think it would struggle to much on me.
I have tried a Rockwell in the past. Great razor the gave a perfect shave every time. The problem was the threads on the head cap wore out and would not hold the razor together.
With the Merkur line, I can get replacement head caps when I need to.
Get replacement parts for the Rockwell as well
@OhioShaves I looked at Rockwell's website, and replacement parts are there! So that does mean there IS a 6C in my very near future.
My shaving tools will be the Merkur Progress, 34C, and the Rockwell.
If you are going to use an electric, spend the extra money and get a Braun series 9. I can get as close a shave with that as I can get with a DE. Always thought the One Blade was a gimmick.
I gave my Dad my Braun 9 and he loves it. He does see that well anymore to shave his face
Safety still my best choice.
💯
I use that on my cheeks to round off my beard. DE on my head all day though 🤙🏼
Nice
I don’t like it for a daily shaver it wears out way too fast. 3 weeks and I have to change the blade. It is an excellent beard trimmer.
Thanks for letting us know
Interesting bit of kit that one blade. I'll never get it though it is way to expensive to maintain.
💯
Looks interesting, but don't think I will be hanging up my straight or DE's anytime soon.
💈👍
Ever thought of getting a fully clean shaven face to reset the facial growth?
Not sure I understand the question
hi dave, glad you feel better, you sound very zen :)
any chance of reviewing yaqi razors?
Still not feeling good. Going to the doctor tomorrow.
This was a good shave Dave. You have lost a lot of weight, hope all is well.
going to the doctor today. I've had the flu for about three weeks now.
@@OhioShaves get well soon
@okiedokie_cool just picked up meds. Thanks, brother.
Definitely less asmr than other videos :)
Yeah a motor really messes everything up.
Get well soon mate. Electric trimmers usually go better with just some preshave oil
Thanks brother
If you use a pre electric shave "Lectric", and do not use any water not rinsing not anything.....and go back and forth....you can get a decent shave....will not be as close as a blade.
Good tip, but it's never gonna be as good as a blade.
I'm not even half way through the video but I must say, your microphone set up is way to good for how loud this machine is 😂 Not your tipical ASMR 😂😂😂
I agree. I should've probably just used a different microphone for this comparison.
oddly enough, you look somewhat similar to Dr Isaac Kliner from Half Life. throughout the video near the end anyways.
💈👍
The OneBlade is a trimmer. Is not a new thing.
The only difference between OneBlade and classic trimmer is a slimmest head but, a trimmer blades last longer and has way more power.
The OneBlade is convenient especially when you are busy and you need to take care of the beard growth quickly.
There is no point using it "wet". Just go against the grain dry and you are good to go.
I can see why new generation love it: there is no learning curve and nobody care about a BBS these days
Thanks for sharing
for this price, don't think any better then other electric one ... may be they close a little bit closer ?? but don't see why ppl will switch for this idea .... plus yes ... after switch to safety razor ... can't go back lol .... unless the day i feel tire and lazy ... then will use my old electric shave with half dead battery lol ...
Well said
The Blades dont last long enough for the price you pay for it
How long does it last?
I owned one a couple of years ago and wasn't a big fan.
Me either. Don't understand all the hype
I absolutly hate the oneblade! Messes my neck up totally.
On the head it was nice, but I had to change the blade after 5 times.. Yeah, 5 times!! That is way to expensive!!
Thanks for letting us know. Very helpful. What razor do you use now?
@@OhioShaves I'm usually use the Rockwell 6s, plate #3. Bbs almost Every time.
Sometimes I change it up and take the Fatip piccolo with the open comb. The closed comb gives me morse irritation somehow... 🤷🏻♂️
Saw one of these at Target. The noise alo e would be annoying and it seems to require alot more work than my DE. Thx 4 review, but pass
Good choice.
dont use it much anymore since it grabbed on my balls. im having more luck with a slant
