I was raised Catholic by my liberal dad and (begrudgingly) my atheist mom. I never took the faith seriously for 30 years. This year I came back and after a series of tough moments I'm more devoted than ever. And its peoole like Joe, Trent, and Jimmy Akin that have really helped me come back.

The draw of the community is especially important now, due to the deconstruction of what we used to recognize as ‘society’. Friends of mine who grew up in similar circumstance of ethnic Catholic community are left with a breathtaking sense of wrt how the glue that held our culture intact has dissolved. Sporting events and association with the local team’s tribe is now the glue that bonds a group of like-minded individuals.
It seems like the type of community bonding that the larger culture used to enjoy now exists in places that engage in active outreach, such as the Black churches, some vibrant Catholic parishes, Evangelical and even some Main Line Protestant denominations.

Don't you think that if you care about their souls, you should care about what they think so that you can effectively correct them? "Instructing the Ignorant" is one of the spiritual works of mercy.

And yes, most Protestant's are heathens and that's why I pray for them. They're not our brothers and sisters, they HATE Catholics. Jesus answered: Amen, amen I say to thee, unless a man be born again of water and the Holy Ghost, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. John 3:5. Most Protestants don't believe this is true, so they don't get baptized. Read your bible, the problem with most Catholic's is they don't read they're bible!
