Help us find MORE references by joining the Discord: discord.gg/KZ7RPShsuY NOTE: I say that the Frontier Djustice is based on a character played by Samuel L. Jackson. What I meant was that it was based on a movie with Samuel L. Jackson in it. I'm sorry for letting that slip through the script 😞
3:15 In addition to being a reference to the samurai setting of the promotion, the crest of the kabuto (one big horizontal crescentt) is based on that of historical daimyo Date Masamune. Date Masamune was called "The One-Eyed Dragon", due to having lost vision in one of his eyes as a child (like the Demoman) and is said to have covered it with an eyepatch made with a sword's hand-guard. Unlike the Demoman, Date Masamune lost his right eye instead of his left, and to smallpox rather than have it stolen from a magic talking spell tome.
I'm pretty happy that other people noticed the references I spotted for Demoman; they also seem to have noticed stuff I didn't even think about. It just shows how much the TF2 community knows about so many seemingly random things.
Great video! One tip for Engineer, the Cabinet Mann cosmetic is a reference to the song Cabinet Man by Lemon Demon on the Spirit Phone album, in which a sentient arcade machine sings about his life as an arcade machine. This song was loosely based on the Urban myth Polybius, which was an arcade machine that drove kids insane.
For Heavy, I’d like to give special mention to the Minnesota Slick, which is based on the haircut and cigarette of Gaear Grimsrud, one of the two kidnappers in the movie Fargo. I’d like to also include the reference to the Soviet Gentleman, but I’d just be regurgitating the Trivia section of the official wiki at this point.
I really liked the video and how you presented it, and I dont even think you need that game play footage in there to keep everyone entertained! At times it was almost a little distracting, but you do what you think is best :)
The "D" in Frontier Djustice is silent just like Django's name 😡😡😡 Also i think it was only mainly given to Demoman, because both him and Django are Black
So From dust is a game where you play as the god of some villagers who travel from island to island in a oceanic world. You have huge control over shaping the terrain and you use this to help the villagers. It’s a odd crossover considering how different the gameplay between tf2 and from dust are
A little late, but I hardly saw anyone mention this slight error. The "Fortesque" in Sir Daniel Fortesque was pronounced wrong. It's for-te-SKEW, not for-TESK. To be fair, I used to make the same mistake until I finally played the game and heard all the characters indirectly correcting me.
Good video, some help for the heavy video is the Brother Mann's name and 2nd style are a reference to the song Brotherman Bill by Terrible Tim which was commonly used as micspam for both this game and club penguin
Dude, Django was played by Jamie Foxx, not Samuel L. Jackson. Samuel Jackson is in the movie but he plays a COMPLETELY different character. Come on mannnn. P.S. Digging the editing style this episode, keep up the good work
3:20 The Samur-eye is also a reference to the helmet a real life Japanese samurai lord wore named Date Masamune. He also had an eye go missing during his youth. Coincidentally, the Date clan in Total War: Shogun 2 are specialized in charging, just like what Demoknight does.
for medic: the hundkopf (and its item set: canis ex machina) is a refrence to 1940's soviet union experiments. source: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Experiments_in_the_Revival_of_Organisms

"Corporate needs you to find the differences between these to pictures"
Glengarry
Balmoral Bonnet
"They're the same picture"
If demoman is frozone then i wonder what other characters would be in the incredibles
Mr Incredible Heavy
Scout = Dash
Spy = Violet
Heavy = Mr. Incredible
Sniper = Mrs. Incredible
Engineer = Edna Mode
Dash is def scout
@TheLucidLetters so then who's syndrome?
@@ScoutIsDeliciousTF2you are
8:31 Actually the term "outta sight" was largely more popular in the 60s, which is when TF2 takes place.
I'm pretty happy that other people noticed the references I spotted for Demoman; they also seem to have noticed stuff I didn't even think about. It just shows how much the TF2 community knows about so many seemingly random things.
This took a lot of research and planning, so I'm glad you enjoyed it :)))

3:35 Shadow Wizard Money Gang
I think you need and can say promo or PR in some cosmetics so you can tell the difference in original or promotion

Nah I know, but the reference to the Frontier Justice makes it mad depressing to me that you can't use it on Engineer.
emoman

2 separate Samuel l Jackson characters uhhh no Jamie Foxx is not Sam jackson
Isn't Demoman's whole design suppose to be a refrence to a Scottish Cyborg from DC Comics?
6:37 there is also another Jimi Hendrix reference in the form of the Voodoo Juju (Slight Return), referencing the song Voodoo Child (Slight Return)
Thank you! I'll make sure to include this in the all-class/multi-class video!
The sovier gentlemen and the bullet buzz, heavy lifter & gone commando are references to the movie predator
i want heavy to be a "speed" run ironically. im a heavy main and think it would be funny lol
another banger, as usual
You know it :)
