This Anime was a masterpiece coming back after 7 years. Your telling me 8.3 Million people watch this anime and it still doesn't have a season 2 or for an official translation. Feels like a void because from what I've read everything in show is amazing.

For those wondering, the source material (light novel) has just been fully fan translated by "Skythewood". I just completed it and damnn idk how to express how good it was. The journey and the wait was worth it!!!!!
Oh god, this reminded me of her "Death flag" episode... this anime is actually quite psychological no matter how silly or "weird" it appears because it deals w/warfare, politics, and characters/personalities to name a couple. It's quite interesting if you're into that sort of show for those who care. Also, great amv, the highlights combined w/the music brings the feels.
i cried to watching taboo tattoo it was a fucking sad anime at the start its happy fun time but near the end it all changes go watch it you will cry bad
This anime was just so awesome, it's a pity that it didn't get a second season. The characters were all loveable, the plotline was engaging, people really don't want to see good anime.
just read the light noels, and it would never happen. The story overall is a content that most people quite frankly can't handle. A significant event in book 7 pissed so many people off in japan that many readers abandoned it, so the anime could never finish and the ending was downright emotionally agonizing.
@@TheWorldsprayer I know a fair bit about what happens in the light novels, honestly I have seen more emotionally wrecking anime and manga. The LN didn't get popular enough and there was no demand for a second season, hence it didn't happen. That's my hypothesis.

The main issue is that it was quite popular until the 7th volume and then readers lost it when one of the favored MCs died. It seems most LN readers in japan literally refused to read anymore of it after that.
I felt like this anime had quite a lot of potential I found it so enjoyable and kinda was expected this to have like a 24 ep season with a few different battles and with more development with the characters
development for characters happens in later arcs for a lot of them, so only available in the novels. By the end of the novel, I'd say the top 5 best characters for this series are Chamille, Icta, Haroma, Nilvaquié (that you don't know) and Matthew, as all of them receive tons of development later on.

@@Redaku418 From what I can recall, Kanna was a soldier who had a passion for reading books of all sorts, hence why Ikta took a liking to her, branding her his "junior disciple". The books I mentioned are those written by a past acquaintance of Ikta's, and they are normally banned within the Empire. The ribbon was that which you will see in her hair earlier in the video. What perhaps makes her death so much more painful is that: 1_ Her and Ikta were set to meet up sometime soon to discuss books, topics and the like. *SPOILER ALERT* 2_ Essentially the whole fighting in the mountains ends up being pointless.
